On 02/23/2022 at approximately 1851 hours, an unknown suspect(s) entered an open United Parcel Service (UPS) delivery truck. The unknown suspect(s) stole a black backpack, approximately four packages, and fled the scene in an early 2000's Gray Ford Mustang. The total value for the stolen packages is unknown. The stolen backpack, along with its contents, was valued at $55. Video surveillance was located on scene. This case has been suspended pending further investigative leads.

Outside Agency Assist
Officers responded to assist San Bruno PD officers who were in pursuit of a wanted vehicle on northbound 101/ Third Avenue in San Francisco. San Bruno PD officers stopped the vehicle and BPD officers assisted in providing cover.

Between 02/22/2022 at approximately 1700 hours and 02/23/2022 at approximately 1330 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim's vehicle. The victim did not give anyone permission to take the vehicle. No video surveillance captured the crime. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System (SVS). This case has been suspended pending further investigative leads.

Found Property
On 02/19/2022 Offciers met with an employee at the business to escort a female out of the hotel that did not pay for the room. Officers then met with the female and escorted her out of the room and off the property. The female had a glass pipe with bulbous end in one of her pant pockets which which was collected and later booked for destruction. Officers later collected a Capitol One Card that she had and booked it for safekeeping. This case was taken for informational purposes only.

On 02/19/2022, at approximately 1212 hours, a recovered stolen vehicle was returned to its registered owner and was located on the Unit Block of Thomas Ave. The vehicle was a white 1995 Honda Civic Del Sol coupe. Officers responded for the report of a possible auto burglary and theft. Officers determined that the victim placed his backpack containing clothing and miscellaneous items into the trunk of his vehicle and left the trunk door open while he waited inside his car for his friends to put their luggage in the trunk. During this time, an unknown suspect got out of a vehicle in the parking lot and grabbed the victim's backpack. The suspect ran back to his vehicle and had a driver drive north out of the parking lot onto Shoreline Court.

Officers responded to a residence after an anonymous call of a person unloading marijuana plants into this residence. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the home owner who admitted to having over 50 mature marijuana plants. The owner gave me consent to look through his residence and officers located 6 separate rooms containing over 400 marijuana plants. Narcotics Task Force was notified and responded to the scene. Officers advised the owner of the multiple code violations. Officers advised the owner that he will receive an Administration Citation pending an inspection of his residence.

Bayshore Blvd/ Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy

Vehicle Collision
On February 9, 2022, a Brisbane Officer was conducting speed enforcement at the 3200 block of Bayshore Blvd. While monitoring traffic, the officer noticed a vehicle traveling southbound Bayshore Blvd. at a high rate of speed approaching where the officer was parked. As the vehicle passed where the officer was parked, the officer pulled out of the driveway to get behind the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop. Before the officer could initiate the stop, the vehicle had run through a red light, broadsiding a vehicle making a left turn onto westbound Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. The occupants of the suspect vehicle, including a minor passenger, only had minor injuries. The suspect driver was arrested for reckless driving and child endangerment and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. The investigation is still ongoing.
