On 2/29 at 1420 hours, a city employee called a subject who they thought lived in Brisbane. When the subject told the employee they had the wrong number, the subject then said something suspicious about hurting someone. A check was conducted on the phone number and two residences were checked. The subject who spoke to the employee was not located. Case taken for information. Report #16-0229-002.

On 2/28, an officer responded to a blocked driveway and a school bus unable to leave the lot. The officer arrived on scene and attempted to contact the owners of the 2 vehicles but was unsuccessful. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Case closed. Report #16-0228-002 and 16-0228-003.

On 2/27 at 0210 hours, an officer contacted subjects inside a suspicious vehicle. It was determined that one subject had an outstanding warrant out of San Mateo County for $10,000. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was transported to the county jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0227-001.

On 02/25/2016 between the hours of 2000 and 2125, an unknown suspect(s) burglarized two vehicles in the parking lot. Both vehicles had smashed windows with numerous items taken from inside the vehicles. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. On 2/20 at 1820 hours, officers responded to a solo collision with injuries. The driver was transported to the hospital. No other parties were involved. Case closed. Report #16-0225-002.

On 1/25 at 0139 hours, officers responded to a call of collision and possibly a vehicle that had gone off the road. Upon arrival it was determined the vehicle had left the roadway and ended up down the embankment. The driver was found to under the influence of drugs/alcohol and was rushed to the hospital with injuries. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed. Case closed. On 2/22 the victim received a call from a subject claiming to be an agent for the IRS. The subject told the victim he owed the IRS $9,000. The subject told the victim not to hang up and demanded he pay the amount due over the phone with prepaid cash cards. The entire process took 8 ½ hours over the phone. After the call the victim realized he had been scammed. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report #16-0223-001.

Sometime between October 2015 and January 2016 two watches belonging to the reporting party went missing. The reporting party could not confirm if the watches had been misplaced or taken without permission. The reporting party spoke with his cleaning people and wanted no further action. Case taken for information only at this time. Report #16-0222-005.

The victim reported that her American Express card had been used out of state without her permission. AMEX fraud was contacted and the victim was issued a new card. This case will be forwarded to the AMEX fraud for further investigation. Report #16-0222-004.

On 2/22 at 1503 hours, an officer towed a vehicle for abandonment. The vehicle had been marked several days prior but had not been moved. Case closed. Report #16-0222-003.

On 2/22 at 0919 hours, an officer towed two vehicles for parked in a construction zone. The signs had been posted for approximately 3 days prior to the vehicles being towed. Case closed. Report #16-0222-001 and 16-0222-002.

The victim reported that her American Express card had been used out of state without her permission. AMEX fraud was contacted and the victim was issued a new card. This case will be forwarded to the AMEX fraud for further investigation. Report #16-0221-002.

Sometime between 2/21 and 2/22, an unknown suspect(s) smashed a window on the vehicle and took a diaper bag. The total loss of the diaper bag, its contents and replacement window cost is approximately $300. There is no suspect information at this time. Report #16-0221-001.

On 2/20 at 1820 hours, officers responded to a solo collision with injuries. The driver was transported to the hospital. No other parties were involved. Case closed. Report #16-0220-002.

On 2/20 sometime between 1030 and 2200 hours, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim’s home by breaking a window. The suspect took approximately $89,000 worth of property. This case is currently under investigation. Report #16-0220-003.

On 2/19 at 1323 hours, while conducting a follow up for another case, officers contacted a subject with a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was transported to the county jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0219-003.

On 2/19 a welfare check was conducted on a subject who had not been heard from by his friend. Upon entry into the apartment the subject was found to be deceased. The body was turned over to the coroners office for further investigation. No signs of foul play were found at the scene. Case closed. Report #16-0219-002.

On 2/18 between 0920 and 1715 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle belonging to the victim. There is no suspect information at this time. The cost to replace the window is approximately $350. Case suspended pending further investigate leads. Report #16-0218-003.

On 2/15 the victim stated she was doing her taxes when she was told her taxes had already been submitted and a check sent. The victim followed the steps outlined on the IRS website for tax related fraud. One of the steps entailed obtaining a police report. This case was taken for information and the IRS will be investigating this case. Report #16-0218-002.

On 2/17 at 0251 hours, officers located a suspicious vehicle in the marina parking lot. Upon contact a DMV check of the license plate revealed the plate had been stolen out of San Francisco. The driver was also found to be in possession of Marijuana and Methamphetamine. The driver was cited and released from the scene. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0217-001.

On 2/15 at 1349 hours, officers and medics responded to a call of an elderly male having trouble breathing. Upon arrival the subject was unresponsive and a Do Not Resuscitate order was found. The subject was pronounced dead at the scene and the body was released to the funeral home. Case closed. Report #16-0215-003.

On 2/15 it was reported that a female subject left her home voluntarily to stay with a friend. When the female did not call or come home, the family became concerned and reported her as missing.The subject was later found to have been killed. This case is still under investigation. Report #16-0215-004.

On 2/14 at 1555 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The officer was familiar with the driver and knew the driver was driving on a suspended driver’s license. The subjects was cited and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Case closed. Report #16-0214-003.

On 2/14 at 0930 hours, the protected person in a restraining order stated the restrained person entered a business she was in and remained in the business for longer than necessary. The protected party felt that this was a violation of the order. This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review. Case 16-0214-002.

On 2/14 at 0900 hours, an officer located an unoccupied vehicle with expired registration tabs. A records check on the license plate revealed the vehicle had been stolen out of South San Francisco. There was no further evidence located at the scene. The vehicle was towed from the scene taken out of the stolen vehicle system. Report #16-0214-001.

On 2/13 at 2125 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon contact a records check revealed a warrant for $63,000 out of Mendocino County. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0213-004.

On 2/13 at 1058 hours, an officer contacted a subject sleeping in a vehicle. The subject is known to be on probation with search and seizure. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe to smoke it. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. On 2/12 at 2146 hours, officers responded to a call of a hit and run. The victim stated while he was on his motorcycle, he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle and the victim were engaged in a confrontation and the driver left the scene without exchanging information. Case suspended pending further leads. Report #16-0213-001.

On 2/13 at 1058 hours, an officer contacted a subject sleeping in a vehicle. The subject is known to be on probation with search and seizure. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe to smoke it. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. On 2/11 at 2032 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon contact with the driver, a records check revealed two warrants out of San Mateo County for a total of $35,000. The warrants were confirmed and the subject was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0201-001.

On 2/10 at 1729 hours, an unknown suspect set off an explosive device on the roadway. It is not known what the explosive was, no evidence was found at the scene. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report #16-0210-003.

On 2/2 an officer marked a vehicle called in as abandoned. On 2/10, the officer noticed that the vehicle was in the same location. An attempt to contact the registered owner was met with negative results. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Case closed. Report #16-0210-001.

On 2/9 at 1336 hours, an officer made contact with a subject inside a suspicious vehicle. The officer could smell marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke it were found. The subject was also found to be under the influence of methamphetamine. The subject was taken into custody and released to the staff at First Chance. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0207-002.

Sometime between 2/6 and 2/7, an unknown suspect vandalized a wall and 3 vehicles with spray paint. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report #16-0207-003.

On 2/7 at 1007 hours, an officer made contact with a subjects inside a suspicious vehicle. Marijuana was seen inside the vehicle and a search was conducted. LSD was found and one of the subjects was cited and released from the scene. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0207-002.

On 2/7 at 0400 hours, an officer received a call of loud music coming from a vehicle. Upon contact with the driver, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol to the point they were unable to care for themselves. The subject was taken into custody. On 2/5 at 1955 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon contact and further investigation, it was revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and had also provided the officer with a false name. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0205-002.

On 2/5 at 1531 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle with paper plates. Upon contact and investigation, it was revealed that the driver gave a false name and date of birthdate to the officer. The subject was taken into custody for supplying false information to an on duty police officer and driving on a suspended driver’s license. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0205-001.

Sometime between 2/3 and 2/4 an unknown suspect(s) vandalized the victim’s vehicle with scratching and spray painting. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report #16-0204-002.

On 2/4 at 1053 hours, an officer noticed a vehicle with expired registration from 3/2015. A DMV records check revealed no registration in progress. The vehicle was towed for expired registration over 6 months. Case closed. Report #16-0204-001.

On 2/1 at 1911 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. Upon contact with the driver, a records check revealed a $10,000 warrant out of San Mateo County. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was taken into custody and transported to the County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #16-0201-001.
