Report for September 1, 2014 - September 29, 2014
Sometime between 9/8 and 9/28, an unknown suspect(s) took the victim?s vehicle without permission from a parking lot. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0929-001.
On 9/29 sometime between 1430 and 1730 hours, an unknown suspect(s) smashed a window on the victim?s vehicle and took a water bottle without permission. There is no suspect information at this time. Report #14-0929-002.
On 9/28 at 0159 hours, an officer conducted an enforcement stop for a vehicle code violation. It was revealed the driver was driving on a suspended driver?s license. The driver was cited and released from the scene. Report #14-0928-001.
On 9/28 at 0158 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. After further investigation it was revealed that the driver had a $20,000 warrant out of Woodland CA. The warrant was confirmed and a subject was issued a notice to appear and released from the scene. Report #14-0928-002.
Possession Controlled Substance/Stolen Property
On 9/27 at 1140 hours, an officer contacted a subject known to have a warrant. After further investigation it was revealed that the subject was in possession of a stolen bicycle, methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. The subject was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0927-001.
On 9/25 at 1750 hours, officers responded to the Community Park on a report of a male subject lying on the grass asking for help. The subject was transported to the hospital where he was treated. After being released the subject who was still intoxicated became belligerent with hospital staff and vomited in the back of a patrol vehicle. Because the subject was unable to care for himself, he was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0925-001.
On 9/24 at 0325, officers responded to a call of a subject screaming for help. Upon arrival officers contacted a subject who was irrational and paranoid. Medics on scene determined it was a medical issue and the subject was placed on a 72 psychiatric hold for being a danger to himself. Case closed. Report #14-0924-001.
On 9/24 a resident reported to an officer that on 9/ 24 an unknown male subject knocked on her door claiming to be from PG&E and was there for service. The resident thought it sounded suspicious and asked for ID. The subject turned and left the area. Case taken for information. Report #14-0924-003.
On 9/24 at 1254 hours, officers responded to a call of a hit and run with no injuries. The reporting party stated he parked his car at 0825 hours and at 1254 hours he went back to his vehicle and noticed damage to his vehicle and another vehicle. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0925-005.
On 9/24 at 1621 hours, officers responded to a call of a hit and run with no injuries. The reporting party stated he parked his car at 1445 hours and at 1515 hours he went back to his vehicle and noticed damage to his vehicle. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0925-007.
On 9/24 at 1113 hours, officers responded to a call of a possible wire fraud. An email was received by employees claiming to be another employee asking that money be wired to them. The money was not wired and was determined to be fraudulent. The business did not incur any financial loss. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0924-008.
On 9/24 at 1245 hours, an officer located a vehicle with expired registration. Upon running a records check it was revealed the vehicle?s registration was past due by 8 months. Vehicle was towed for violating Vehicle Code Section 22651(o)(1), vehicle expired over six months. Report #14-0924-004.
On 9/23 at 1706 hours, two subjects were involved in a mutual physical altercation. Both parties declined to pursue any criminal charges. Case taken for information. Report #14-0922-005.
Sometime between 09/20/2014 at 1330 hours and 09/22/2014 at 0900 hours unknown suspect(s) entered a padlocked room of a grocery store and removed miscellaneous cartons of cigarettes totaling a loss of $3300.00. The owner suspects an employee. Case suspended pending further suspect leads. Report #14-0922-003.
On 9/22 at 1621 hours, an officer conducted a check and found a subject to not be in compliance by not registering as an offender. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #14-0922-004.
On 9/21 at 0212 hours, an officer contacted occupants in a suspicious vehicle. After investigation it was revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana without a medical marijuana card. The driver was cited and released from the scene. Case closed. Report #14-0921-001.
On 9/21 at 0512 hours an officer located two vehicles that had been broken into. The vehicles were found with their windows smashed. After contacting the parties, it was found that boxes of miscellaneous items were taken from one vehicle and nothing was taken from the other. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0921-002.
Domestic Related Incident
In 9/21 at 0725 hours and couple with no children in common were involved in a verbal dispute. The male and female were discussing their living situation when the female pushed the male and the male pushed the female back. The male left the residence. Report taken as information. Report #14-0921-004.
On 9/21 at 1730 hours, officers responded to a call of a dog that attacked another dog. The reporting party was walking her dog when two dogs came out of a house off leash. One of the off leash bit the dog on leash. Report taken to be forwarded to Peninsula Humane Society for review. Report #14-0921-005.
Petty Theft/Stolen Vehicle
Sometime between 9/21 at 2200 and 9/22 at 0730, an unknown suspect took a set of keys from an unlocked vehicle and found the vehicle the keys belong to. The vehicle was taken without permission. The suspect(s) also took $25 in quarters from the unlocked vehicle. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0922-001.
On 9/20 at 0701 hours, officers responded to a report of a male subject slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. The vehicle had been driven up the center divider and came to a stop. It was determined the driver had suffered a medical incident. The driver was later issued a DMV priority re-examination form. Case closed. Report #14-0920-002.
A vehicle was towed for being parked in a spot where signs were temporarily posted ?No Parking?. The registered owner could not be found to move the vehicle. Report #14-0920-003.
On 9/19 at 1530 hours, two unknown suspect entered the victim?s home impersonating PG&E workers. The victim was distracted by one male suspect while the other male suspect took $2500 worth of jewelry from her bedroom. Case suspended pending further leads and suspect information. Report #14-0919-002.
On 9/19 at 2319 hours, officers responded to call of a possible individual driving under the influence. The vehicle was found in Daly City with the driver still behind the wheel. Upon investigation the driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Driver arrested case closed. Report #14-0920-001.
On 9/18 at approximately 0856 hours, an unknown suspect reached into the victim?s purse and took a small bag containing $6 in cash, an unwritten check and a credit card. The suspect fled the scene on foot. This case is possibly related to a Daly City case. The suspects were later identified and arrested. Report #14-0918-001.
On 9/18 at 1725 hours, officers responded to a call of suspicious activity at a home. Upon arrival the front door was found open and while conducting a search of the home, an illegal marijuana grow operation was located. The San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force was notified and took control of the investigation. Report #14-0919-003.
Hit and Run/Possession of Controlled Substance
On 9/16 at 1047, officer responded to a report of a hit and run collision. The driver who fled the scene was located a short time later in a parking lot. The driver was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0916-001.
On 9/15 at 0926 hours, an officer conducted a records check on a vehicle that came back stolen out of San Francisco. A stop was conducted and the occupants were taken into custody. During the interview the subjects stated they were told by their employer to take the truck for work reasons and were unaware the truck was stolen. The subjects were released from custody. This case will be forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #14-0915-001.
Sometime between 9/14 and 9/15, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victims open garage and took tools without permission. The total value of the tools is approximately $230. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further suspect information. Report #14-0915-002.
On 9/5, a caretaker was struck and kicked numerous times by the developmentally disabled adult she cares for. The caretaker did not report the incident when it occurred because the subject is schedule for court on a previous battery case out of San Francisco. This case will be forwarded to the San Francisco District Attorney?s Office Behavioral Court for review. Report #14-0915-003.
Possession Controlled Substance/Stolen Property
On 9/15 at 1849 hours, a juvenile was contacted and found to be in possession of cigarettes. After further investigation it was also found that the juvenile was in possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and stolen property from Brisbane case 14-0913-0002. Case closed by arrest. On 9/15 at 2154 hours, officers responded to a disturbance call. The caretaker stated the adult male she cares for is acting aggressively and she had been previously struck by him. The male subject was placed on a 72 hour psychiatric hold for being a danger to others. Case closed. Report #14-0915-006.
A resident located a wallet on a dock and was unable to locate the owner. The wallet was turned over to the police and a letter has been sent to the owner. Report #14-0914-001.
Under the Influence of Controlled Substance
On 9/13 at 0259 hours, Officers contacted two suspicious subjects. During the investigation it was determined one the subjects was under the influence of methamphetamine, in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0913-001.
Sometime between 9/12 and 9/13, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victims? unlocked vehicles without permission. The suspect(s) took an impact tool, iPod, jacket and baby blanket. The estimated value is approximately $650. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0913-002.
On 9/12 at 2108 hours, officers noticed a male subject lying on the sidewalk. It was later determined the subject was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The subject was taken into custody and transported to San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0912-002.
On 9/12 at 2150 hours, the reporting party was the victim of a battery when the known suspect grabbed her glasses from her head and threw them during an argument they were having. The victim signed a Private Persons Arrest form but the suspect has not been located. This case is ongoing. Report #14-0912-003.
Under the Influence of Controlled Substance
On 9/11 at 0259 hours, Officers contacted a suspicious subject. During the investigation it was determined the subject was under the influence of methamphetamine, in possession of paraphernalia which contained methamphetamine and being in possession of a makeshift weapon. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0911-001.
The victim reported that on 9/8 between 0700 and 1900 hours, his license plate was taken from his vehicle without permission. The license plate was entered into the stolen vehicle system. This case has been suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0908-001.
Domestic Related Incident
On 9/6 at 0830 hours, a male and female couple with a child in common were involved in a verbal dispute. The argument never became physical. A referral was made for counseling but the couple declined any further assistance. Case closed. Report #14-0906-002.
On 9/6 at 1945 hours, unknown suspect(s) took the victim?s vehicle without permission. The victim stated he had dropped his keys in the parking lot but didn?t realize it until he noticed the vehicle had been stolen. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0906-003.
Suspended Driver?s License
On 9/5 at 0510 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. It was determined that the driver was driving on a suspended driver?s license for DUI. The driver cited and released and the vehicle was towed form the scene. Case closed. Report #14-0905-001.
Sometime between 9/4 at 2200 hours and 9/5 at 0815 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle from a bike rack without permission. The bicycle was not locked but secured with bungee cords only. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0905-002.
On 8/29 at 1645 hours, a city employee found a laptop computer and turned it in as found property. Report #14-0905-003.
Sometime between 8/29 and 9/2, an unknown suspect(s) entered a lot and removed gasoline from parked vehicles. The estimated loss of gasoline is approximately $505. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further suspect information. Report #14-0902-001.
On 9/2 at 1548 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. It was later determined that the occupants were in possession methamphetamine and cash. Due to the amount of methamphetamine and cash, the subjects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0902-002.
Sometime between 8/30 and 9/2, an unknown suspect(s) accessed the closed library with no means of force and took $30 from the cash drawer. The reporting party suspects an employee is responsible. Case suspended pending further suspect information. Report #14-0902-003.
On 9/2 at 1530 hours, an officer responded to a vehicle burglary. Hotel staff called police stating the vehicle had its window smashed and the owner was not present. Information was left at the hotel to have the owner of the vehicle contact police when they were available. Report #14-0902-004.
On 9/1 at 0227 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle with a broken headlight. Upon investigation the driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Driver arrested case closed. Report #14-0901-001.
