Report for June 1, 2014 - June 29, 2014
On 6/29 at 0944 hours a Brisbane officer contacted a male subject that matched the description of a male subject seen walking on or near the railroad tracks. A system check revealed that the subject was reported missing. Officers conducted a welfare check and released the subject from the scene. The subject was removed from the MUPs system. On 6/27 at 1632 hours a male subject who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness expired while under the care of Hospice. Officers responded and assisted in contacting the San Mateo County Coroner. Report #14-0627-0001
On 6/26 at 2348 an officer recognized a female juvenile walking around past curfew hours. The female juvenile is currently on county probation with curfew conditions not to be out past 2200 hours. The officer transported the juvenile back home where she was released to her mother. A case has been forwarded to the San Mateo County Juvenile District Attorney?s office for prosecution. On 6/26 at 1845 hours, Brisbane officers responded to a male subject who called the police stating he felt like he was going to die. The Brisbane fire department and Brisbane police department determined that the male subject lacked the ability to safely be on his boat without endangering his life. The subject was transported to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Report #14-0626-0002
On 6/24 at 0750 hours a citizen reported that her vehicle was stolen between 6/23 and 6/24. The victim?s 2004 Toyota Scion XB was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Report #14-0624-0001.
On 06/22 at 1259 hours, a Brisbane Officer responded to a citizen who had discovered her stolen vehicle that she reported, was now parked in front of her house. The victim?s vehicle was originally reported stolen while it was in San Francisco. The vehicle was removed from the Stolen Vehicle System. Report #14-0624-0002
On 06/22 at 0835 hours, a citizen came to the police station to report that someone stole the license plate to his motorcycle. A report was taken and the license plate was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System as a stolen plate. Report #14-0622-0001.
On 6/21 at 1658 hours, Officers responded to a report of traffic accident involving two vehicles. Officers arrived and located a female driver who had struck a parked vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into jail. Report #14-0621-0003
On 6/19 at 1915 hours, Brisbane officers responded to a call of an unoccupied suspicious vehicle. The reporting party was a passerby who noticed the vehicle had a flat tire and bullet holes in the door. Dispatch advised responding officers that the vehicle matched the description of vehicle wanted in a gang related shooting that occurred in South San Francisco at approximately 1430 hours. Upon arrival it was determined to be the same vehicle from the incident in South San Francisco. South San Francisco Police were called and responded to Brisbane and took control of the vehicle. Investigation handled by SSFPD. Case taken for information. Report #14-0619-0003
Theft of Registration Tabs
The victim reported that sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) took the registration tabs off of his boat without permission. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0618-0003
The reporting party stated sometime between 6/14 at 1300 hours and 6/17 at 0700 hours, someone attempted to gain entry into a rear door. The unknown suspect(s) used a forklift to attempt to gain entry into the building. In the process the suspect(s) damaged the door, a parking curb and a break lock that allows access. Entry was not made and no items were taken. There is no suspect(s) information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0617-0001
On 6/15 at 1510 hours a Police Service Aid monitoring the Community Park saw a subject defecating on San Bruno Ave. The police were called and the subject was issued an administrative citation and was also made to clean up his mess. Case closed. Report #14-0615-0001
The victim reported that on 6/15 sometime between 1630 and 1755 hours, an unknown suspect(s) smashed her vehicle window and took a shoulder bag. The cost of the bag is approximately $500. Sometime between 6/13 at 2300 hours and 6/14 at 0800 hours an unknown suspect(s) vandalized 8 vehicles by smashing the side mirrors. Officers responded on 6/14 at 0430 hours on a report of a male and female arguing with the sound of glass breaking. No one was found in the area when police arrived on scene. Case suspended pending further suspect(s) information. Report #14-0614-0001
On 6/14 at 0900 hours, Officers responded to a welfare check. The mother stated her daughter was locked in her bedroom and had overdosed. The daughter did not answer the door and the mother gave officers permission to force entry into the room. The room was found empty upon entry. The mother later stated she believes her daughter was with friends and is okay. Case taken for information. Report #14-0614-0002
The victim reported that she left her cell phone outside on 6/14 between 1305 and 1310 hours. When she went to retrieve it, someone had taken it without her permission. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #14-0614-0004
On 6/12 at 2305 hours, an officer observed the subject set off fireworks near an open field. The subject then jumped in his vehicle and attempted to flee the scene. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and cited the driver for possession of fireworks. Case closed, cited and released at the scene. Report #14-0613-0001
On 6/13 at 1502 hours an officer noticed a subject walking in the middle of the roadway and contacted the subject. A records check revealed the subject was an arson registrant but had not registered as such since 1997. The subject was taken into custody and transported the San Mateo County Jail. The victim who had reported his vehicle stolen on 6/9 out of South San Francisco saw his vehicle parked in front of the trailer park and notified Brisbane Police. There was no evidence left at the scene. The vehicle was taken out of the stolen vehicle system and returned to the registered owner. Case suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Stolen Vehicle and Property
On 6/10 at 0500 hours, an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle and conducted a DMV records check of the license plate. The vehicle came back stolen and a traffic stop was conducted. During a search of the vehicle a large bag of US Mail belonging to Brisbane and South San Francisco residents was found. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. US Postal Service will conduct further investigation on mail found in the vehicle and suspects home. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0610-0001
Sometime between 6/7 and 6/8 an unknown suspect(s) took $29.45 from a cash register. The register had been moved due to recent thefts, however money had been taken again. The victim reported that sometime between 6/5 at 1800 hours and 6/6 at 0720 hours, and unknown suspect(s) broke off the passenger side door handles of her vehicle causing approximately $650 worth of damage. The victim reported that sometime between 6/4 at 1930 hours and 6/5 at 1030 hours, an unknown subject entered her residence through an unlocked garage door. The suspect then rummaged through the victims belongings. The victim cannot confirm if anything had been taken. There is no suspect information at this time. On 6/5 at 1645 hours, the suspect entered the bank and attempted to cash a fake check. Officers were advised that the suspect was still in the bank with a teller attempting to cash the check. The suspect admitted to knowing the check was fake. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0605-0002
On 6/2 at 0120 hours, an officer noticed a vehicle with no taillights illuminated. The Officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle. During the stop the driver was found to have been driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The driver was taken to a sobering facility and cited and released. Report #14-0602-0001
On 5/20 at 1230 hours and 6/1 at 1630 hours, two unknown subjects took scrap metal from the business without permission. Both thefts were caught on surveillance and the subjects were contacted. The subjects contacted the business and apologized for the mistake and an agreement was reached between the business owner and the scrapper. Case taken for information only. Report #14-0602-0003
On 6/2 at 2005 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. A records check was conducted and a warrant was revealed for the driver for $10,000 out of San Bruno Police Department. The warrant was confirmed and the driver was taken into custody and transported the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #14-0602-0004
On 6/1 at 1800 hours, two subjects were involved in a verbal argument that escalated to a mutual physical fight. Both parties sustained injuries but declined any police services or filing criminal charges. This report was taken for information only. Report #14-0601-0003
The reporting party stated that sometime between 5/31 and 6/1 his bicycle was taken from his carport area. The bicycle was locked at the time it was taken.
