Report for April 1, 2013 - April 29, 2013
The victim reported to police that sometime between 1200-1316 hours, unknown suspect(s) shattered two windows on the victim?s vehicle. The suspect(s) then took an iPad and pay stubs from within the vehicle. Report taken and case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0402-0002.
A citizen turned in a debit card found in the area to the police department. The debit card was placed into property for safekeeping. Report # 13-0402-0003.
A subject had fallen near the north side of the marina after retrieving a wallet he had thrown. The subject was evaluated by paramedics, but he declined any further medical attention. Report taken. Report # 13-0425-0005.
An officer noticed a subject walking in the area whom he recognized from prior contacts. The officer conducted a warrant check and a valid warrant was found for his arrest. The subject was detained after initially trying to hide from police. He was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 13-0426-0001.
The victims reported to police that sometime between 0130-0930, unknown suspect(s) burglarized two vehicles. The suspect(s) smashed the windows to the vehicle and stole numerous items valued over $1,480. A report was taken and case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0427-0002.
Officers responded to a report of a male subject who was seen on an abandoned property. The male individual had been notified by the owner that if he was no longer allowed on the property. The male subject was located back on the property and subsequently arrested and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Report #13-0428-001.
An abandoned vehicle was marked by an officer after a citizen complained about the vehicle. The vehicle was marked for 72 hour abandonment. On 4/11, the vehicle was checked on again and was found to be in the same location and had not been driven as required per 22651(k) CVC. The vehicle was towed. Report # 13-0411-0001.
Officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, two parties were contacted and determined to be boyfriend and girlfriend. Both parties were involved in a verbal argument and denied any physical altercation. An informational report was taken. Report # 13-0425-0004.
The reporting party notified police that he could hear screaming from a neighbor. Officers responded to the scene and could hear a female crying inside. The female eventually allowed officers inside. The female had some redness on the side of her face. It was discovered the victim was in an argument with her boyfriend, but she would disclose what exactly happened. The boyfriend fled through the bathroom window before she answered the door. Report taken and investigation is ongoing. Report # 13-0425-0002.
The victim reported to police that between 3/29-4/12, cargo was missing after being loaded onto a truck driven by one of their employees. The cargo was accounted for when loaded into the truck, but was missing prior to being off loaded. The employee denied any knowledge of the missing items which included a TV and 3 computers. A report was taken and investigation ongoing. Report # 13-0425-0003.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a stalled vehicle in the area. A vehicle was located stuck on a concrete median. The driver was next to the vehicle and when contacted, he displayed signs of intoxication. The driver failed several sobriety tests and was arrested. The driver was booked at a detox facility and case taken to be forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for prosecution. Report # 13-0425-0001.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the residence. The elderly adults in the residence were reporting their adult son has been increasingly aggressive towards them in the past few months. No threats or physical harm have been committed against them. The increased agitation has caused them mental distress. Report taken and to be forwarded to Adult Protective Services. A subject moving into Brisbane registered as a sex offender with the police department as required by law. Report # 13-0422-0002.
Vandalism ? Property Damage
A security officer reported to police damage to one of the office windows. It was determined a window was struck by an unknown object causing a ten inch diameter hole in the window of an office. Report taken and case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0418-0002.
Parent Responsibility/Truant Child
School staff reported to police regarding a child that has been excessively truant from school. The mother has contributed to the truancy by allowing it to happen and not enforcing the child to go to school. A case was taken and will be forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office. Report # 13-0419-0001.
Officers were dispatched to the area on a report of multiple subjects fighting in the street. Upon arrival, it was determined one victim was at the scene and claimed to have been assaulted by an unknown suspect. The victim sustained injuries to his shoulder and rib cage area. He was transported to a local hospital. The victim declined any police assistance. Report taken. Report # 13-0421-0003.
Residents notified police of hearing vehicles screeching around the area giving different areas within the city. Initially, the source could not be located. After several minutes, the sound was heard again and the source was located in the area of Sierra Point Pkwy./Lagoon Rd. 3 vehicles and their drivers were detained who admitted to skidding around the area. Skid marks could be located marring up the asphalt. A report was taken and forwarded to Department of Public Works for any claims involving damage/degradation of the asphalt. Report # 13-0422-0001.
A subject that is moving into Brisbane reported to the police department to register as a narcotic registrant as required. Report taken. Report #13-0416-0003.
The victim reported to police his rental vehicle had its tires punctured between 1920-1935 hours. The victim alleges his girlfriend?s son had committed the crime. There were no witnesses or evidence to support the victim?s claim. Report taken. Report # 13-0416-0004.
The owner of a business reported to police an employee had taken customer?s property that was being restored at the business. The property included bicycles. Officers conducted an investigation and were able to recover the property. The victim is declining any criminal prosecution after recovery of the property. Report taken. Report # 13-0402-0001.
A citizen reported to officers that two subjects were in an argument. Upon arrival, officers determined that boyfriend and girlfriend were in a verbal argument over their relationship. During the argument, the boyfriend took the girlfriend?s cellular telephone and hid it in the mailbox. There was no physical confrontation. Report taken for documentation only. Report # 13-0401-0001.
The Brisbane Police Department assisted the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force in the execution of a search warrant. Report taken. Report # 13-0416-0001.
A witness reported to police a vehicle had run into a wall at a business. Officer and paramedics responded and contacted the driver who admitted to consuming alcohol. The driver was transported to a local hospital for her injuries and was then later arrested and released to a sobering facility. The victim flagged down police to report that he was assaulted by another subject known to him. The other party denied the allegation and independent witnesses did not any support that an assault occurred. A report was taken. Report # 13-0412-0002.
The adult victim reported to police that she was slapped by her father. The victim declined any police intervention and only requested this incident be documented. Report taken. Report #13-0414-0001.
The victim reported to police that she as in an argument with her live-in boyfriend. The boyfriend allegedly pulled the victim off the bed. The victim also admitted to hitting her boyfriend. Both parties did not sustain any injuries and statements were inconsistent. There were no witnesses. A report was filed and to be forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #13-0414-0002.
The victim notified police that sometime between 0615-0630, unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle from the front of his residence. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System and a countywide ?be on the lookout? was requested from neighboring agencies. The vehicle was recovered later in the evening in South San Francisco. Report taken and case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0412-0001.
CPS forwarded a report to the police department regarding a teacher possibly inflicting injury onto a child. The case was investigated and contact was made with the student. The child did not sustain any injuries and school administration is dealing with the teacher. Report #13-0410-0002.

An unknown vehicle made an unsafe turn and struck a fence of a home. The driver of the vehicle then left the area without providing his or her information to the property owner. Report taken and case suspended. Report # 13-0409-0001.
An officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. Upon contacting and identifying the driver, it was discovered the driver?s license was suspended. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license. Report # 13-0408-0002.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Guadalupe Canyon Pkwy. to make a right turn onto southbound N. Hill Dr. The vehicle was travelling at an unsafe speed and unable to negotiate the turn, striking a signal pole. Report taken. Report # 13-0405-0001.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 4/5-4/6, unknown suspect(s) entered the victim?s unlocked vehicle. Upon entry, the suspect(s) took several items. Investigation ongoing. Report #13-0406-0001.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 3/20-4/8, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked apartment under construction. Upon entering that apartment, the suspect(s) were able to get access to an adjoining occupied apartment via an open wall. The suspect(s) then took a computer, printer, and watch. A citizen reported to police that several juveniles were shooting an airsoft or paintball gun at the park. Officers responded and observed one juvenile presently discharging an airsoft gun. One juvenile was cited for discharging an airsoft gun. The parents of all the involved juveniles were called out and responded to pick up their children. Report taken. Report # 13-0403-0001.
