Report for December 1, 2012 - December 28, 2012
On 12/19, a citizen complained of an abandoned vehicle at Klamath/Mono St. The vehicle was marked by an officer. On 12/26, an officer went to follow up to see if the vehicle had been moved. There was no indication the vehicle moved and was in violation of 22651(k) CVC. The vehicle was subsequently towed. Report # 12-1226-0002.
On 12/1, an employer at a local business notified police that someone had used a company credit card without permission. During the investigation, it is believed the suspect is an employee that may have also acquired customer?s credit card information and used it without their knowledge or permission. Investigation is ongoing. Report # 12-1201-0003
On 12/26, an officer noticed a vehicle parked on a public street displaying expired registration tabs. The vehicle was expired over 6 months. The officer towed the vehicle pursuant to 22651(o) CVC. Report # 12-1226-0001.
On 12/12, Brisbane PD received a complaint regarding a vehicle with expired registration parked in the lot. Attempts were made to locate and contact the owner. The vehicle was confirmed to have been expired over 6 months and was towed. Report # 12-1213-0002.
On 12/13, an officer located a vehicle parked on a public street without registration tabs. The officer conducted a registration check and confirmed the registration was expired over 6 months. The officer has also issued previous citation for expired registration. The vehicle was towed for being expired. Report # 12-1213-0003.
On 12/27, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 12/26-12/27, someone damaged his vehicle causing dents and scratches. The damage is estimated to be $3,000. There is no suspect information. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1227-0001.
On 12/28, officers were dispatched to a report of a non-injury traffic collision. After interviewing the involved parties, it was determined that one of the driver?s made an unsafe lane change from the #2 lane of southbound Bayshore Blvd. to the #1 lane, which was occupied by another vehicle. Both vehicle sustained major damage. Report filed. Report # 12-1228-0001.
On 12/25, officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance. They found the suspect outside of her residence and intoxicated, unable to care for herself. She was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 12-1225-0002.
On 12/25, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 12/24-12/25, unknown suspect(s) broke into two vehicles by smashing the windows of the vehicles. The owners of the vehicles were not available and it is unknown as to what was taken. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1225-0001.
Possession of stolen property
On 12/1, an officer was conducting a patrol check and spoke with the security guard at the business whom he has contacted in the past. The officer saw the security guard was armed with a handgun. The security guard was not armed in the past, so the officer checked on the handgun and if he had a permit. It was determined the security guard was not licensed to carry a handgun and the handgun was reportedly stolen from a burglary. The security guard was arrested for possession of stolen property and additional weapon violations. He was booked at the county jail. Report # 12-1201-0001.
On 12/1, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of San Bruno Ave. regarding a group of boys and a group of girls in the bathroom. The reporting party found the garbage can was set on fire. The group had left before police arrived. Several juveniles were contacted in relation to the incident and denied any knowledge regarding the fire. Their parents were contacted and admonished. Damage is valued at approximately $200. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1201-0002.
On 12/24, a citizen reported that sometime between 12/23-12/24 someone had taken all four tires from his vehicle. The replacement value of the tires is valued at $2,400. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1224-0001.
Threats/Assault w/stun gun
On 12/24, officers were dispatched to a report of an assault. Two parties were involved in an altercation in which one party assaulted the other with a stun gun. The other involved party allegedly threatened to hit the other with a stool. There were no independent witnesses and insufficient information to arrest either party. Case forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Report # 12-1224-0002.
On 12/22, the victim reported to police that sometime between 12/21-12/22 someone stole his bicycle and registration sticker from his vehicle. The bike is valued at $1,500. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1222-0001.
On 12/23, the victim reported to police that sometime between 12/21-12/23, unknown suspect(s) entered her locked vehicle via unknown methods. Upon entry, the suspect(s) rummaged through her vehicle. The only loss is a parking pass with no monetary value. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1223-0001.
On 12/21, a resident came to the Brisbane Police Department to register as a narcotics registrant as required. Report # 12-1221-0001.
On 12/20, a city employee reported to police that they discovered someone had stolen an undisclosed amount of cash and checks from a safe. There were no signs of forced used to access the safe or indication someone broke into the building. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1222-0001.
On 12/17, the victim reported to police that sometime on 12/16 between 0300-0346 someone shattered the passenger window of her vehicle. The suspect(s) stole the victim?s purse, wallet, and keys. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1217-0001.
On 12/17, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 8/2 to 11/23, he lost the license plate to his motorcycle during a ride. He reported the lost license plate to police as he needed to get a new one from DMV. Case closed. Report # 12-1217-0002.
On 12/3, an officer recognized a local resident who has been arrested in the past. The officer conducted a records check on the subject and found he had a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed, arrested, and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 12-1203-0001.
On 12/16, the victim reported to police that sometime between 12/15-12/16 unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear passenger window of the victim?s vehicle. It is unknown what was taken as the victim is on vacation. Cases suspended pending contact with the victim. Report # 12-1216-0002.
On 12/15, a citizen reported to police someone had used his personal information to open credit card accounts at Hilltop Mall in Richmond. A courtesy case was taken and will be forward to Richmond PD. Report # 12-1215-0003.
On 12/16, a resident reported to police that someone parked their vehicle in front his driveway. The officers attempted to locate/contact the owner with negative results. The vehicle was towed. Report # 12-1216-0001.
On 12/11, Brisbane officer were dispatched to the 100 block of Cliff Swallow Ct. on a welfare check. The reporting party indicated she had not heard from her mother for some time and has health issues. Entry was made into the house and the mother was found deceased. There was no indication of any criminal activity and were most likely natural causes. The decedent was released to family members. Report # 12-1211-0002.
On 12/13, family members reported to police the decedent was under hospice care. She was found deceased and it is believed to have been from natural causes. The body was released to family members. Report # 12-1213-0001.
On 12/15, Brisbane Officers receive a report of a stalled vehicle on Bayshore Blvd. The officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver. The officers saw that the vehicle was damaged and appeared to have been involved in a collision, which the driver denied. The officers conducted a series of field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. As the officers advised the driver she would be arrested, she began to be uncooperative and started to aggressively advance towards the officers who were directly adjacent to passing traffic. The officers attempted to physically arrest the suspect when she started to continuously resist. She was eventually taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. On 12/10, the victim reported to officers that sometime between 12/8-12/10, unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1210-0001
On 12/10, the victim reported to police that she was a victim of a hit and run collision. The victim was driving northbound on Bayshore Blvd. south of San Bruno Ave. when the suspect in the adjacent lane made a u-turn directly in front of her. The vehicle collided with the victim?s. The suspect then fled southbound on Bayshore Blvd. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1210-0002.
On 12/10, officer received a CPS referral indicating children at the residence were being physical disciplined. The parents were contacted and denied the allegation. The children were interviewed and said it happened over two years ago. Case referred back to CPS. Report # 12-1210-0003.
On 12/10, the victim reported to police that sometime between 12/10-12/11, unknown suspect(s) broke into a delivery truck and stole an unknown quantity of products. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1211-0001.

On 12/8, Brisbane officers were participating in a county wide detail targeting sales of alcohol to minors. During this operation, an underage/undercover decoy purchased alcohol from a bar. The bartender was cited for the violation. Report # 12-1208-0006.

On 12/8, the victim reported to police that sometime between 12/7-12/8, unknown suspect(s) stole the catalytic converter to her vehicle. The item was taken while her vehicle was parked in front of her house. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1208-0002.
On 12/8, officers contacted a juvenile who had a warrant out for her arrest. The juvenile was arrested and was booked at juvenile hall. Report # 12-1208-0003.
On 12/8, an officer was conducting a patrol check of the area and saw a light pole that was resting on a tree. It was apparent someone had struck the light pole. No one reported the incident to the police. A report was taken. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1208-0001.
On 12/7, Brisbane officers were dispatched to the unit block of Gladys Ave. on a report of a fight between a male and female. Both parties indicated they were in a physical confrontation and had some indication of injuries. Both parties gave conflicting statements as to what occurred and an aggressor could not be determined. Case submitted to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for review. Attempted residential burglary
On 12/4, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 12/3-12/4, someone damaged the deadbolt to his front door and the front door of his tenant?s residence. It appears someone attempted to force open the deadbolt to enter the house and damaged at least one of the locks in the process. No entry was made. Case suspended pending further leads. On 12/5, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 12/4-12/5, unknown suspect(s) smashed the front passenger window of his rental vehicle. The suspect(s) stole a makeup bag valued at $300. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 12-1205-0001.
On 12/5, a citizen reported to police that sometime between 1550-1600 hours, unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear left window of the victim?s vehicle. Upon entry, the suspect(s) stole cash, miscellaneous electronics, jewelry, and credit cards/cash. Investigation ongoing. Report # 12-1205-0002.
