Report for September 1, 2012 - September 30, 2012
An officer towed a 1979 Mercedes Benz due to the vehicle having been parked on a public roadway with expired registration in excess of six (6) months. Case closed. Report # 12-0919-0002.
The reporting party advised that on 9/1/12 sometime between 0930 and 1130 an unknown suspect took her rear license plate without permission. The plate was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0901-0001.
On 9/11/12 at 2201 hours, an officer responded to a vehicle hazard. The vehicle was found facing north blocking the southbound number 2 lane of Bayshore Blvd. The vehicle also had four flat tires. The vehicle was towed, case closed. Report #12-0911-0001.
An officer towed a 1995 Toyota Camry due to the vehicle having been parked on a public roadway with expired registration in excess of six (6) months. Case closed. Report # 12-0906-0001.
The reporting party advised that she and her husband were involved in a verbal argument. The argument escalated with the husband putting his hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming and placing her in a bear hug. The husband agreed to leave for the evening and was cited and released from the scene. Case closed. Report #12-0903-0001.
Officer issued a resident an administrative citation for his dog running around off leash, BMC 6.04.070A. Report #12-0902-0001.
Reporting party advised that she has received over 100 unwanted text messages in the last three weeks from her ex-boyfriend. She has asked him to stop several times, but she continues to receive messages. The boyfriend was contacted and denied sending the messages. He was advised to stop and the case was forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #12-0930-0001.
At 1938 hours an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. While contacting the driver, two warrants totaling $11,382 were revealed and confirmed. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0929-0002.
Under the Influence Controlled Substance
On 9/24/12 at 1900 hours, officers responded to a report of a physical fight. Upon arrival no fight was seen. Subsequent investigation revealed one party was under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. The Subject was taken into custody and transported to San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0924-0001.
Reporting party advised that sometime between 9/21/12 and 9/22/12, an unknown suspect(s) took her catalytic converter from her vehicle without permission. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0925-0001.
Violation of a Restraining Order
A subject was found to be violating a court ordered restraining order when he approached his wife at work and the two went for a walk. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0928-0001.
On 9/23/12 at 0553 hours, officers responded with the Brisbane Fire Department on a medical call. The subject, a cancer patient in hospice was found inside the residence deceased. The Coroner was satisfied that the death was not suspicious and the family took custody of the remains. Case closed. Report #12-0923-0001.
The reporting party advised that on 9/17/12, an employee from his business collected $2,300 in cash for a completed job. The employee was contacted by his employer but did not return to work to turn over the cash. Officers attempted to locate the subject, but were unsuccessful. Case forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review for an arrest warrant to be issued. Report #12-0919-0001.
The reporting advised that sometime between 0430 hours and 0610 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took his work vehicle with permission. There is no suspect information at this time. The vehicle was subsequently located in Oakland with all the tools stolen. Report #12-0921-0001.
On 9/21/12 at 2024 hours, Officers responded to a call of juveniles locked in the restroom. Upon arrival officers determined the two juveniles (both 14) were boyfriend and girlfriend. It was found that no criminal activity took place and both juveniles were turned over to their parents to handle. Case taken for information only. Report #12-0921-0002.
Driving Under the Influence
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into First Chance. Case closed. Report #12-0921-0003.
The reporting party advised that on 9/16/12 between 1645 and 2050 hours, an unknown subject entered his/her locked vehicle by smashing a window. The unknown suspect(s) and took personal items. The estimated loss is $3600.00. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0916-0005.
An officer responded to a call of property found in the bushes. After contacting a responsible party it was determined that the merchandise had been taken without permission from the trucks parked in the lot. The vehicles were all found to be unlocked. Two unidentified suspects had been seen by the reporting party leaving the area with the merchandise. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0916-0002.
The reporting party advised that on 9/16/12 between 1630 and 2025 hours, an unknown subject entered his/her locked vehicle by smashing a window. The unknown suspect(s) and took personal items. The estimated loss is $520.00. This incident occurred in San Francisco. A courtesy report was taken and has been forwarded to SFPD. Report #12-0916-0004.
The reporting parties advised that on 9/14/12 at approximately 1830 hours, an unknown subject entered his/her locked vehicles by smashing a window. The unknown suspect(s) entered two vehicles and took two laptops and other personal items. The estimated loss is $4000.00. There is no suspect information at this time. On 09/16/12 at 0126 hours, while conducting a passing check an officer found a subject on the property going through the trash. The subject was found to be in possession of several items belonging to the business. The subject was cited at the scene for trespassing. Case closed. Report #12-0906-0001.
At 2012 hours an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. While contacting the driver, a $5000 warrant was revealed and confirmed. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0912-0002.
The reporting party advised that on 9/12/12 at approximately 0334 hours, an unknown suspect entered the business without permission. The suspect is seen on video surveillance in the business and took $2,200 from a locked safe. The suspect has not yet been identified. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0912-0001.
The reporting party advised that on 9/10/12 between 1600 and 1950 hours, an unknown subject entered his/her locked vehicle by smashing a window. The unknown suspect(s) and took a backpack and a cell phone. The estimated loss is $200.00. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. The reporting party advised that her adult sister was last seen on 8/30/12 in Brisbane. The subject was going out of town but reporting party has not heard from her. The subject has been entered into the Missing Persons System. Report #12-0909-0001.
The reporting party advised that between 9/7/12 at 0630 hours and 9/8/12 at 1000 hours, and unknown suspect(s) bent part of the fence. The suspect(s) made entry into the lot and tampered with several vehicles by opening the doors. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Reporting party advised that his teenage daughter, a chronic runaway, was missing. He last saw his daughter on 9/7/12. The daughter was entered into the Missing Persons System (MUPS). On 9/29/12, the daughter was found in South San Francisco by her father. The daughter was taken out of MUPS and was taken into custody for violating her probation. This case has been forwarded the daughters probation officer for review. Report #12-0908-0001.
On 9/7/12 at 2030 hours, Officers responded to a fire of a trash bag containing miscellaneous items. Preliminary reports by the fire investigator indicate the fire was set intentionally. There were no injuries and the owner of the building was contacted. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0907-0001.
An elderly subject came to the Brisbane Police Department to report a strange experience she had, and wanted to speak with an officer. Upon speaking with the subject the officer concluded the subject may need further assistance. This report has been forwarded to Adult Protective Services for review. Report #12-0906-0003.

The reporting party advised that on 9/5/12 and 9/6/12, an unknown suspect(s) siphoned approximately 14 gallons of gasoline from his parked vehicle. The total loss is approximately $60. On 8/31/12 at 0800 hours, a father and daughter were involved in a verbal argument about going to school. The daughter alleges her father grabbed her by the hair while driving in the car. The father stated he was trying to stop her from jumping out. The daughter sustained a bump and bruise to her forehead. Case forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Threatening a Peace Officer
An officer reported that between 8/29/12 and 9/3/12 a known suspect left seven threatening messages on his voicemail. The suspect had been previously arrested by the officer for driving under the influence. Case forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #12-0905-0001.
