Report for August 2, 2012 - August 27, 2012
An officer towed a 1986 Ford Aerostar due to the vehicle having been parked on a public roadway with expired registration in excess of six (6) months. Case closed. Report # 12-0829-0001.
Officers responded with Child Protective Services (CPS) on a call to check the welfare of a 5 year old child. It was determined the child would be in danger if left alone with the parent. CPS took custody of the child. Case taken for information. Report #12-0803-0001.
Officer issued a resident an administrative citation for his dog running around off leash, BMC 6.04.070A. Report #12-0811-0001.
Reporting party advised that sometime between 8/27/12 at 1630 hours and 8/28/12 at 0600 hours, an unknown suspect(s) spray painted graffiti on the building. The suspect(s) also spray painted two water tanks and a piece of metal. The cost to remove the graffiti is estimated to be approximately $300. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0828-0001.
Reporting party stated that sometime between 8/24/12 and 8/27/12, unknown suspect(s) entered a yard through a hole in a fence and tampered with several buses. The suspect(s) siphoned 10 gallons of gas and cut a rubber fuel hose. Total loss is approximately $88. Case closed due to lack of suspect information. Report #12-0802-0001.
Officers were dispatched to a call where an upset subject ingested a large number of Tylenol pills. The subject was placed on a 72 hours medical evaluation and transported to the hospital. Case closed. Report #12-0826-0001.
While conducted a traffic enforcement stop a warrant was revealed for the passenger of the vehicle. The $20,000 warrant was confirmed out of the Pomona Police Department for vandalism. The subject was taken into custody and transported the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0826-0002.
An officer was dispatched to a disturbance call. Upon arrival the officer contacted the subject who was crying and stated she wanted to kill herself. The subject was placed on a 72 hours medical evaluation and transported to the hospital. Case closed. Report #12-0825-0001.
Reporting party stated that sometime between 8/1/12 and 8/6/12 an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a locked parking lot and tampered with one of the vehicles in it. Upon inspection, it was found that the catalytic convertor and the emissions components had been taken from the vehicle. The cost of repairs totaled $7400. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending any further leads or suspect information. Report #12-0822-0001.
Reporting party stated on 8/22/12 sometime between 0700 and 1600 hours, an unknown took an empty safe he had left in his driveway. The reporting party left the 300lb safe in his driveway to move later in the day. Sometime during the above listed times, the safe was taken without permission. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #12-0822-0003.
Reporting party advised that a vehicle he had towed on 8/20/12 for the CHP was now missing from his lot. Further investigation revealed that the CHP has suspect information and is currently investigating the suspects associated with this vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the stolen vehicle system. This case has been forwarded to the CHP to further assist in their ongoing case. Report #12-0823-0001.
An officer responded to an abandoned vehicle call. While contacting the registered owner and girlfriend, a $7500 warrant was revealed and confirmed. The girlfriend was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case Closed. Report #12-0807-0002.
Reporting party advised that sometime between September and November of 2010, a known suspect took 50-75 pieces of art left for him by his late father. The art is valued at $100,000 and $300,000. This case in on going. Report #12-0807-0001.
On 8/20/12 at 1230 hours, two parties were involved in a verbal disturbance that both parties state has been an ongoing issue. Both parties were advised to stay away from one another and if they thought it necessary, to seek restraining orders. Case taken for information. Report #12-0820-0002.
Possession of Methamphetamine
At 1500 hours, Officers responded to a disturbance call. A records check was conducted and found one party to be on court probation with search and seizure. Upon searching the subject, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0820-0003.
Officers were dispatched to subject who was possibly in need of medical attention Upon arrival officers found the subject barefoot and soaking wet. It was found that the subject was in need of medication for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and was unable to care for himself. He was placed on a 72 hour medical evaluation and transported to the hospital. Report #12-0821-0001.
Reporting party advised that between 08/19/12 at 1930 hours and 8/20/12 at 1000 hours, an unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and took her GPS system, sunglasses and cell phone charger. Estimated loss is approximately $358. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending any further leads or suspect information. Case #12-0820-0001.
Reporting party advised she received a confirmation email for a one night stay at a hotel in Israel that listed her name and credit card number. She did not make this reservation. The reporting party contacted her credit card company who canceled the charge. There is no loss at this time. This case has been suspended due to lack of suspect information. Case #12-0816-0002.
Reporting party alleged that her vehicle had been involved in a hit and run. After investigating the damage, the officer concluded the damage was not consistent with a hit and run. Case taken for informational purposes as no crime can be proven. Report #12-0817-0004.
On 8/16/12 at 0002 hours, Officers responded a report of a fire. Tenants were evacuated and no one was injured. The fire originated in the laundry room and preliminary reports state the fire was the result of an electrical problem. Case taken for information. Report #12-0816-0001.
Officers responded to a call of a subject who had cut her wrist with a kitchen knife because she was depressed. The cuts were not life threatening and the subject was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Case closed. Report #12-0806-0001.
Reporting party advised that she has not heard from her husband since 7/15/12. The reporting party stated her husband had moved in with his mother, but has not provided police with further necessary information. All attempts to contact the subject have been met with negative results. The subject has been entered into the Missing Persons System. Report #12-0813-0003.
Reporting party advised that sometime between 8/10/12 at 1830 hours and 8/11/12 at 1700 hours, an unknown suspect took two garden hoses without permission. The value of the hoses is approximately $60. There is not suspect information. Case suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0815-0001.
The victim advised that she believed she had been drugged and raped while at an event in Brisbane. The victim stated the incident occurred between 8/11/12 at 2330 hours and 8/12/12 at 0700 hours and can not recall what happened. The victim was able to identify a possible suspect. This case is under investigation. Report #12-0812-0001.
The reporting party advised that on 8/13/12, an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was parked on the street. There is no suspect information or evidence. Case suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0813-0002.
While working with the San Mateo County Gang Task Force, a Brisbane officer made contact with a pedestrian committing a traffic violation. A records check revealed several outstanding warrants out of the East Palo Police Department. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Report #12-0811-0003.
The reporting party advised that on 8/3/12 between 1400 and 1630 hours, an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was parked on the street. There is no suspect information or evidence. Case suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0810-0001.
While working with the San Mateo County Gang Task Force, a Brisbane officer made contact with a reported missing person out of Oakland. The subject was removed from the Missing Unidentified Persons System and released from the scene. Case closed. Report #12-0810-0002.
Reporting party advised that on 8/11/12 his stepson was intoxicated, exhibited a knife and challenged him to a fight. The reporting party stated he was not in fear and his stepson was taken into custody and transported to San Mateo County Jail for being drunk in public and disturbing the peace. Case closed. Reporting party advised that someone had taken her 2013 vehicle registration tab from her vehicle. The reporting party does not know when the registration was taken. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0808-0003.
Restraining Order Violation
While conducting a traffic enforcement stop, the officer found two subjects in the vehicle together in violation of a Criminal Protection Order. The order restrains the male half from being within 150 yards of the female half. The male subject was taken into custody and later cited and released. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for review. Case closed. Report #12-0809-0001.
Reporting party advised that her teenage daughter received unwanted text messages from another teenage female. The text messages were regarding gossip about one of the girls. This case was taken for information and has been forwarded to Hillcrest Juvenile Hall for review. Report #12-0802-0001.
On 8/8/12 at 0850 hours, a reporting party stated they heard a juvenile yelling. Upon arrival officers made contact with a mother and 14 year old daughter who stated they had gotten into a verbal argument about chores. The daughter used profanities during the argument and the mother slapped her. There were no visible injuries. This case was taken for information and to be been forwarded to Child Protective Services. Report #12-0808-0002.
The reporting party stated between 8/7/12 and 8/8/12, an unknown suspect(s) entered her locked vehicle through an open window. The suspects took an unused wallet valued at $8.00. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0808-0001.
