The reporting party stated that sometime between 6/29/12 and 7/2/12 an unknown suspect took approximately $740 worth of tools and first aid supplies. While on routine patrol at 0305 hours, an officer located a suspicious vehicle and subject. The subject was in possession of car parts taken from the dumpster. It was later verified by the manager of the business that the items were discarded and had no value; however the subject did not have permission to take them. Reporting party advised that her daughter and husband were in a verbal dispute in their home. She was worried about the children who were also in the home. On 7/21/12 at 1344 hours, officers responded to a welfare check of a female subject. Subsequent investigation revealed the female?s husband had kicked her in the leg several days prior leaving visible marks. The husband was later arrested and transported to San Mateo County Jail. Driving Under the Influence
On 07/21/12 at 0430 hours, an officer stopped a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. The reporting party advised that sometime between 7/12/12 at 1700 hours and 7/16/12 at 1000 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle tire and rim from a bicycle. The bicycle was locked to a rack in a secured garage. It was determined that entry was made through the openings in the security bars on the windows. Assault and Battery
On 7/15/12 at 0133 hours, officers responded to a medical aid. Upon arrival a witness stated an unknown male subject was involved in a physical altercation with another male patron. The unknown male subject struck the patron on the head and the patron fell to the floor. The unknown male subject then left the scene. This subject has not been identified. The patron was transported to the hospital. There is no suspect information and the patron is unable to recall the incident. This case has been suspended pending further information. Verbal Dispute
A mother and daughter verbally argued about the responsibilities of motherhood and child care. The daughter no longer lives with the mother, but the mother was taking care of the grandchildren. While on routine patrol at 2359 hours, an officer located an unoccupied vehicle with a smashed window. The vehicle appeared to have been rifled through. While on patrol at 0400 hours, an officer smelled smoke and noticed a tree had caught fire. No damage to nearby structures. Evidence of a transient camp was located at the origin of the fire. Dog Bite
Officers responded to a report of a dog bite. Upon arrival family members stated their two dogs, which are normally well behaved, were in a fight over food. When the owner tried to break up the fight, she was bit on the hand. The owners requested that the dog not be removed from the home by SPCA. Report was taken and will be forwarded to SPCA for follow up. Case closed.

Child Endangerment
On 7/12/12 at 1143 hours, a reporting party advised that a male driver was on S/B101 with a young child on his lap and they had just exited on Sierra Point Parkway. The subject, later identified as the father of the 2 year child, was stopped by responding officers. During the stop it was revealed that the driver did not have a child seat or any child items including diapers, food and water. The father was unaware of the law. At 2156 hours, officers contacted subjects inside a suspicious vehicle parked on the fire trail. One subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.
