Report for May 1, 2012 - May 30, 2012
The reporting party advised that between 05/30/2012 and 05/31/2012, an unknown subject sprayed graffiti on one of the walls to their building. The officer sent out a county wide TRAK flier asking for other agencies to identify a moniker. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0531-002.
An officer towed a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 due to the vehicle having been parked on a public roadway with expired registration in excess of six (6) months. Case closed. Report # 12-0504-001.
Private Property Abatement
An officer towed a 1994 Dodge Ram 350 due to the vehicle being un-drivable because it was filled with garbage and parts of the vehicle being disassembled. The officer also towed a 1987 Ford utility pick up truck for blocking a path and impeding authorized vehicles from gaining access to the property. Both vehicles were towed from a private property. Case closed. Report #12-0511-001.
Officers received information of an open door of an abandon building. Upon arrival officers noticed the main entry door had been pried open. Nothing was taken. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0503-001.
Adult Protective Services
A business owner stated an elderly male subject has cashed a number of checks that have bounced. The subject stated he was not aware of the insufficient funds and has already paid the business owner back, which he has not. The reporting officer has made a referral to APS based on the subject?s age and the subject?s confusion about paying back the business owner. Report #12-0504-002.
On 05/31/2012 at 0051 hours, an SUV ran into the security gate of the facility. After discovering the damage, Officers were able to locate the driver and vehicle using Closed Circuit Television Video. The driver subsequently admitted to the crime of hit and run. This case has been forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for prosecution of the driver. Report #12-0531-001.
The reporting party stated that on 4/29/12 and 4/30/12, an unknown suspect(s) vandalized the property by causing damage to the landscaping. The suspect(s) ripped out several plants causing less than $100 in damages. There is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0501-001.
Suspended Drivers License
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a driver for driving over the posted speed limit. Further investigation revealed the driver had a suspended driver?s license and was riding a motorcycle without proper endorsement. The motorcycle was towed, driver cited. Case closed. Report #12-0501-002
While an officer was conducting a walk through of the area, he noticed an unknown subject (s) vandalized the men?s urinal by spray painting graffiti on it. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0530-003.
The reporting party advised that on 05/29/2012 between 1930 to 2045, an unknown subject smashed the passenger side window of his vehicle and took an IPhone 4S. The estimated loss is $670.00. This case is on going. Report #12-0529-002.
The reporting party advised that between 09/01/2011 to 05/27/2012, her mother has been taking funds from her checking account and retirement account. She was not aware that money was being taken out her account due to being involved in recovering from an addiction. This case is on going. Report #12-0530-001.
The reporting party advised that on 05/30/2012 between 1445 and 1500 hours, his vehicle was broken into. While at the scene the officer located two other vehicles that were also burglarized. A credit card belonging to one of the vehicles was used in the city of San Francisco. This case is on going. Report #12-0530-002.
On 5/23/12 an officer responded to a call of a stolen vehicle that had been recovered. The vehicle was stolen out of Hayward and recovered in the city of Oakland. When Oakland officers did not respond, the reporting party had the vehicle towed back to Brisbane for the recovery report. Oakland PD and Hayward PD were both advised and a report was taken. The reporting party advised that between 5/18/12 and 5/21/12, an unknown male telemarketer sent her numerous annoying text messages. The messages included profanities, threats of injury and extortion. The messages came from a location in Cook County, Illinois. The Cook County Sheriff?s Department has been advised. This case is ongoing. 12-1522-002.
The reporting party stated that on 5/22/12 at approximately 1000 hours, while unpacking luggage from her vehicle, she accidently left a piece of luggage outside near the sidewalk. The bag was taken by an unknown subject. Currently there is no criminal violation since the luggage was left on the sidewalk and possibly taken by someone who thought it was free. Domestic Related Incident
On 5/22/2012 at 0849 hours, the reporting party came to the Brisbane Police Department to speak with an officer regarding possibly domestic violence issues that had occurred in the past with her spouse. The subject would not provide any specific information but just wanted advice. This case was taken for information only. Report #12-0522-001.
Reporting party has reported several times that the neighbors dogs bark excessively. The officer observed two small dogs, both of which were barking at the time. The officer was unable to contact the residents after several attempts. This case has forwarded to the city attorney for review of a municipal code violation. Report #12-0519-002.
Domestic Related Incident
On 5/20/12 at 1823 hours, officers responded to a disturbance call between a male and a female. The male and female have been in a dating relationship for two years and do not live together. The subjects got into a verbal argument that never became physical. This report was taken for information only. Report #12-0502-001.
Domestic Related Incident
On 5/19/12 at 0145 hours, officers responded to a disturbance of a male and female in a verbal argument. The male and female have been together for a year and half and do not live together. Both parties had been drinking alcohol and got into an argument about getting engaged. The argument was verbal only and never became physical. The male subject left the house for the night. This report was taken for information. Report #12-0519-001.
On 5/18/2012 at 1446 hours, officers responded to a call of a possible sexual assault. A woman called the front desk and spoke with the manager. She stated she had been sexually assaulted and robbed by a male subject staying at the hotel. Officer contacted the male half and determined that there no merit of a crime at this time. The officer was unable to contact the female for a statement with the phone number that was left at the front desk. This case has been suspended due to lack of information and absence of the victim. On 5/17/2012 at 2312 hours, an officer contacted a subject who stated he and his girlfriend of 4-5 months had been involved in a verbal/physical argument. The argument was over a bill at the establishment they were eating at. The male subject and a witness stated the girlfriend struck him in the face several times. This incident was reported several hours after it occurred and the officer was unable to contact the girlfriend. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0517-003.
Fraudulent use of Credit Card
On 5/12/12 an unknown suspect(s) obtained and fraudulently used the victim?s credit card three times in Burbank, California. The victim was checking the status of his account when he noticed a fraudulent charge of $1200.00. He contacted his bank who advised him to report the incident to his local police department. There is no suspect information at this time. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0514-001.
The reporting party advised that on 5/15/12 between 2100 and 2143 hours, an unknown suspect(s) broke into his parked vehicle. The suspect(s) smashed the window with and unknown tool and rifled through the contents of the vehicle. The reporting party stated that it did not appear that anything had been taken. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0515-001.
Dumping into a Storm Drain
On 5/17/12 at 1120 hours, an officer responded to a call of a subject dumping gasoline down a city storm drain. The reporting party was able to identify the subject and when contacted, the subject admitted to dumping approximately 1 ? quarts of gasoline down the storm drain. The Department of Public Works was contacted and arrived on scene to begin clean up. The subject was issued an administrative citation for Reduction of Pollutants in Storm Drain. This case has been forwarded to the Department of Public Works for follow up. Report #12-0507-001.
While conducting a passing check, an officer noticed a vehicle with a smashed window. The owner stated her iPhone and a laptop were taken from the vehicle. There was no further evidence or suspect information. The total loss is approximately $1720. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0513-001.
Officers responded to a welfare check of a female subject. The reporting party stated that the subject said she had ingested a large amount of prescription pills. Officers arrived on scene and subsequently determined that she was a danger to herself. The female was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Case closed. Report #12-0512-003.
On 5/12/12 at 0425 hours, Officers responded to a report of a city tree that had fallen onto two vehicles. The vehicles had been parked in the driveway directly in front of the garage. The fallen tree was determined to be a city tree and the homeowners and the Department of Public Works were contacted. This report was forwarded to the Department of Public Works for documentation. The reporting party stated that on 5/11/12 between 2130 hrs and 2145 hrs, an unknown suspect(s) took his laptop without permission. The laptop was left outside the hotel room at the time it was taken. The cost of the laptop is approximately $1700. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0512-001.
The officer was dispatched to a vehicle burglary that was related to a vehicle theft that occurred on 5/6/2012. The reporting party advised that his doors were found unlocked and items had been taken. The items that had been taken were recovered in case #12-0506-002 noted above. These items were later returned to the owner. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0508-001.
The reporting party stated that on 5/9/2012 an unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear window of her vehicle with an unknown object. Nothing was taken from the vehicle and the estimated cost of repair is $280. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0509-001.
On 5/9/12 the victim received threatening phone calls from a male subject who sounded familiar to her. The victim stated the voice sounded like the son of a woman she rents a home to. The victim feared for her safety. This case is ongoing. Report 12-0510-001.
Reporting party advised that sometime between 5/4/12 and 5/6/12, an unknown suspect(s) siphoned approximately 15 gallons of gas from the victim?s vehicle. At the time this incident occurred, the vehicle was parked in the business lot. The estimated loss is $75 and there is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0507-003.
The reporting party advised that the suspect, someone she had dated in 2006, had attempted to contact her approximately 20 times over a 4 year period. On 5/5/12 the suspect sent an email to the victim with a threatening photograph attached. The victim also stated that during their dating relationship he attempted to kidnap her. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the county jail for threats, attempted kidnapping, stalking and domestic battery. Report #12-0507-004.
The reporting party stated that sometime between 5/6/12and 5/7/12, an unknown suspect(s) entered a secured yard and broke into 3 trucks via an unknown method. The suspect(s) took approximately $1251.94 worth of snack products. At this time there is no suspect information. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0507-001.
Between 5/6/12 and 5/7/12 an unknown suspect(s) attempted the steal a truck by using an unknown tool to defeat the driver?s side door. Upon entry the suspect(s) damaged the ignition. This case may be associated with case 12-0506-0002. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0507-002.
Stolen Vehicle/Hit and Run
Officers responded to the area of Sierra Point and Glen Park on a report of a possible stolen vehicle and hit and run collision with an involved motorcycle. Officers saw the stolen pick up and a motorcycle following it. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on both vehicles and the drivers attempted to evade the police and a brief pursuit ensued. The vehicle crashed into a pole and the driver jumped onto the motorcycle to flee the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was arrested and transported to the county jail where he was booked. Driving Under the Influence
While on patrol an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle for speeding. The officer contacted the driver and determined the driver had been drinking alcohol. The subject was subsequently placed under arrest and booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0506-001.
Officers responded to a call of a subject who may have alcohol poisoning. Upon arrival the subject stated he was distraught and asked to be transported to the hospital for an evaluation. The subject was transported voluntarily. Case Closed. Report #12-0402-0002.
Officers responded to a call of a subject who refused to leave the establishment. The subject told officers he wanted to hurt himself and was acting erratically. It was also revealed the subject was a runaway juvenile. The subject was transported for medical treatment and was taken out of the Missing Persons Systems. Case Closed. Report #12-0401-0003.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers contacted a subject who was evaluated and determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The subject also provided false information to the investigating officer. The subject was arrested case closed. Report #12-0505-001.
At 2319 hours, Officers were dispatched to the area of San Francisco and Inyo on the report of a man with a gun. When Officers arrived they contacted the subject and subsequently determined the subject to be a danger to himself. The subject was placed on a 72 hour medical evaluation. The subject admitted to having a BB gun but never intended to harm anyone. Case closed. Report #12-0505-002
