Report for April 1, 2012 - April 24, 2012
While patrolling for abandoned vehicles, an officer spotted a Ford pick up with expired registration over 6 months and subject to towing per vehicle code 22651(0)(1). After further investigation, the officer found the vehicle to be expired for 1 year and 2 months. Vehicle towed, case closed. Report 12-0410-0002.
A driver was contacted for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and later released to First Chance South. Case closed subject arrested. Report #12-0429-0001.
A citizen came to the police department and stated he had a warrant he would like to take care of. The traffic warrant out of Pacifica was confirmed and the subject was cited and released at the scene. Case closed. Report #12-0424-0001.
While conducting a passing check, the officer contacted a suspicious person walking back and forth near parked vehicles. The subject was contacted and it was revealed he was a reported missing person out of Daly City. Daly City Police requested a welfare check be conducted. The subject was found to be in good condition and asked for no further police assistance. The subject was taken out of the Missing Persons System. Case closed. Report #12-0424-0002.
Reporting party advised that sometime between 4/21 and 4/22 an unknown suspect vandalized two vehicles that were parked on the street. The suspect(s) damaged the right side mirrors of both vehicles. There is no suspect information at this time. Report #12-0422-0001.
Officers responded to a call of a verbal argument between a couple who have been living together for over three years. Both parties were uncooperative and one party agreed to leave for the night. Case closed, the report was forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #12-0421-0001.
On 4/20 at 0040 hours, while conducting a passing check of an area recently victimized with several burglaries, officers contacted two subjects on bicycles to the rear of the businesses. The subjects were questioned and no burglary tools or other evidence was found. It was revealed that one subject had a drug related warrant out of San Mateo County for $1,500. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Cased closed subject arrested. Report # 12-0420-001.
On 4/20 a male subject was reported missing by his brother who resides in Brisbane. The male subject was later found at his home in San Francisco by his brother. SFPD conducted an attempt to contact and found the subject at home. The subject was taken out of the Missing Persons System. Case closed. Report #12-0420-0002.
The reporting party advised that sometime between 4/17 and 4/18 an unknown suspect cracked the side mirror an pried open the side mirror base and attempted to pry open the windshield. The estimated cost to repair is $3,000. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. Case still under investigation. Report 12-0418-001.
Disturbance/Aggressive dogs
The reporting party advised that when she arrived at the dog park, two dogs that were with their respective owners came up to her and ?nipped? her sleeve. The reporting party told the owners to control their dogs, which they did. The other parties were contacted and stated the reporting party was aggressive towards them after the dogs approached her. They stated the reporting party said ?do you know who I am? and also threatened to shoot the dogs. Police arrived on scene and determined the two dogs to be acting non-aggressively and acting in a normal playful puppy like manner. Parties were admonished, report taken for information. Report 12-0414-0001.
While on patrol an officer stopped a vehicle for driving at an unsafe speed. The officer contacted the driver and determined that he had been drinking alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested for drinking while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Subject arrested and transported to the county jail. Report 12-0414-0002.
A CPS worker advised that a father and daughter were involved in a verbal argument. The argument escalated and the daughter alleged that her father placed both of his hands on her throat and pushed her. The daughter then pushed the father back. The daughter was taken out of the house and placed with her cousin. Report 12-0415-0001.
The reporting party stated that sometime between 4/5 and 4/6, an unknown suspect(s) took a money deposit bag from the business. The bag contained $270 in cash and $69.86 in two checks. There were no signs of forced entry and the property has not yet been recovered. This case is currently under investigation. Report 12-0413-0002.
The reporting party stated that sometime between 3/30 and 4/2 an unknown suspect took approximately $13,600 worth of vehicle airbags. The suspects cut a padlock on a storage unit to gain access to the airbags. Evidence was later found at the scene and the vehicle theft task force has been advised of the case. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0402-0001.
The officer recognized a subject who he knew to have a warrant out of Brisbane. The subject was contacted and the warrant for $5,000 was confirmed. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo County Jail. Report 12-0412-0004.
The reporting party stated sometime between 3/23 and 3/30 and unknown subject entered her unlocked vehicle and took a Macbook Pro Apple laptop valued at $2,199. The victim was out of town during the time of this incident and cannot confirm if the theft took place in Brisbane or San Francisco. The laptop was entered into the Automated Property System. This case has been suspended pending further leads in developing suspect information. Report 12-0412-0003. 04/13 Tunnel Rd Overpass Assault with a Deadly Weapon The reporting party stated that on 4/13 at approximately 0820 hours, an unknown subject driving a Ford pick up truck intentionally swerved into the bicycle lane in attempted to strike him as he was on his bicycle. The reporting party was not injured and after investigation, police were unable to locate the subject and the pick-up truck. This case has been suspended pending further leads in this investigation. Report 12-0413-0001.
The reporting party related he received a notice from a credit collection agency stating he had a past due balance and owed $419 for an account with AT&T. The victim stated he did not have account with the AT&T. It is not known if the victim?s other account have been compromised. The officer has requested further information from AT&T. This case is still under investigation. Report #12-0412-0002.
The reporting party advised that a customer had written three checks to his establishment which were returned for insufficient funds. The customer was contacted by police and the customer stated he and the store owner had made an agreement the issue would be handled between them. No crime at this time. Report #12-0411-0001.
The reporting party advised that on 4/10 at an unknown time, unknown suspect(s) cut a hole in a fence. There is no suspect information at this time. Case inactive due to lack of suspect information. Report #12-0410-0003.
An officer towed a red Ford pick up truck for being parked in the same place without moving in excess of 72 hours.
An unknown suspect struck and knocked over a fire hydrant causing it to break off at the riser. The suspect left the scene without leaving a note. There is no suspect information at this time. Case Closed. Report #12-0401-0004.
The reporting advised that sometime between 4/9 and 4/10, an unknown suspect(s) entered a parking lot, and then gained entry into a gated area by removing a metal clamp by unscrewing a bolt that secured it. Once inside, the suspect(s) proceeded to pry the lock of a Conex storage box with an unknown tool. The suspect(s) did not take anything from the Conex box, but they did pile sheet metal just outside of the box. This case has been suspended pending and suspect leads or evidence. Report #12-0410-0001.
A mother called about her daughter whom she stated was ?freaking out?. Officers were advised that the daughter was destroying items in her room prior to police arrival. The daughter told officers she was depressed and wanted to kill herself. Daughter was transported to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. It was later determined by officers that no items were actually damaged in the residence. Case Closed. Report #12-0405-0002.
The reporting party advised that between 4/5 and 4/6 an unknown suspect took the rear license plate of the company vehicle. The unknown suspect willfully removed the plate without consent or knowledge of the owner. This plate was later entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. There is no suspect information at this time. Case Closed. Report #12-0406-0001.
The reporting party stated that sometime between 4/6 and 4/9 an unknown suspect(s) took his bicycle without permission. The RP further advised that he left his bicycle locked with a coil type chain in a bicycle rack in the parking lot of his workplace. On 4/9 at 1800 hours the RP noticed his bicycle was gone along with the coil chain he had used to secure it. At this time there is no suspect information or evidence. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report #12-0409-0001.
