Report for March 2, 2012 - March 29, 2012
The reporting party advised that between an unknown date in February and March 1st, an unknown suspect entered her residence without permission. The unknown suspect took approximately $2000 in jewelry. There were no signs of forced entry and no evidence left at the scene. All leads have been exhausted. This case has been suspended pending any further leads or suspect information. Report #12-0302-0002.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. The reporting party stated he and a known suspect were involved in a verbal argument. During this verbal argument, the suspect vandalized the reporting party?s vehicle and threatened him with a metal bar. The suspect has not been located. This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #12-0302-0001.
Officer issued a resident an administrative citation for having her dog off leash, BMC 6.04.070A. Report #12-0307-001.
An officer towed a vehicle for having expired registration over 6 months. Case closed. Report 12-0320-001.
An unknown suspect broke the City of Brisbane Corporation Stop locking valve in order to turn on the water to their residence that had been shut off due to lack of payment. The estimated cost to repair and stolen water is $439.67. This case is ongoing. Report 12-0328-0001.
The reporting party advised he saw a pick up truck drive off the road and knock over a sign stop and strike a fence. The driver then backed up and fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Case closed due to lack of suspect information and evidence. Report #12-0323-0003.
Officers contacted a subject during the course of a warrant service for an in county no bail warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was transported to the county jail. Case closed by arrest. Report #12-0323-0002.
The reporting party stated that on 3/23/12 at 0555 hours, an unknown suspect(s) gained entry into several vans on the lot taking a car battery and folding knife. Video surveillance shows two subjects near the van, but due to poor quality, no further information can be obtained from footage. Case suspended due to lack of evidence. Report 12-0323-0001.
A subject called the police stating he had just consumed a poisonous substance and wanted to end his life. Subject was considered a danger to himself and was transported to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Case closed. Report #12-0320-0003.
Juvenile Probation Violation
Officers contacted 3 juveniles who were found to be in possession of open bottles of alcohol. All parties were on probation and in violation of their conditions. All three were taken into custody and later released to their parents. This case will be forwarded to juvenile court for review. Report #12-0321-0001.
The reporting party advised that on 3/22 sometime between 2025 hours and 2115 hours, an unknown suspect used an unknown object to break a small window on the victims? vehicle. It is unknown if entry was made and nothing appeared to have been taken. Case closed due to lack of suspect information and leads. Report #12-0322-0001.
Officers responded to the scene of a hit and run. A traffic enforcement stop was conducted on the suspected vehicle. Upon further investigation it was found the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for DUI and Hit and Run. Case closed by arrest. Report 12-0318-0001.
The reporting party advised that her boyfriend came home with a bloody cut on his head and was heavily intoxicated. The boyfriend blamed the injury on his girlfriend who denied touching him. The boyfriend was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Case taken for information only. Report 12-0318-0004.
The reporting party stated a person filed tax returns using his name and social security number. There were no other indications of theft or fraud. The victim has reported the incident the Federal Trade Commission for investigation. Case taken for information. Report 12-0319-0001.
Officers recognized a wanted subject on the property. Officers detained the subject and a warrant out of San Francisco County for $50,000 was revealed. Subejct was taken into custody without incident and transport to the San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0316-0004.
The reporting party advised that sometime between March 16th and 19th, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the lot by cutting a hole in the rear fence line. Suspect(s) took approximately $500 worth of food off of trucks parked in the lot. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending any further investigative leads. The reporting party advised that on 3/18/12 between 0030 and 0715 hours, an unknown suspect(s) smashed the window of his vehicle. Nothing was taken. While on scene, the officer noticed another vehicle with a smashed window. The officer found the responsible person who told the officer a video camera and sunglasses has been taken. The value of loss is $635 and $400 to repair the windows. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report 12-0318-0002.
The reporting party advised that her husband had been cheating on her. When she confronted him, a verbal argument ensued and she attempted to slap and kick him. The husband grabbed the wife?s arms and pushed her away causing her to fall on the ground. He also threatened to kill her if she called the police. The husband was arrested for inflicting injury on a spouse and threats. Case forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for review. Case closed. Report 12-0316-0001.
Lipman Middle School advised Police of a student that had been absent/truant numerous times. School staff has attempted to contact the parent but she has failed to properly reply to the letters. A case has been taken by this department and will be forwarded to the San Mateo County District Attorney?s Office for review. Report #13-0313-0001.
The reporting party advised that an unknown suspect(s) entered a fenced yard and tampered with a school bus and truck belonging to the City of Brisbane School District. The suspect(s) manipulated the keyhole and ignition on the truck and left the engine compartment open on the bus. The suspects took a flashlight from the truck. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending further investigative leads. Report #12-0313-0002.
The officer observed a driver spinning donuts in the intersection. An enforcement stop was conducted and the driver was taken into custody and cited out at the scene to appear in court at a later date. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Case closed. Report #12-0313-0002.
The reporting party advised that between 2000 and 2052 hours an unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver?s side window of his vehicle and took a GPS. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads or evidence. Report #12-0307-0005.
The reporting party advised that between 2150 and 2214 hours, an unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger window of the vehicle. The suspect(s) took a purse that contained $400 in cash and miscellaneous credit cards. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended pending any further leads or suspect information. Child Protective Services contacted the Brisbane Police Department regarding a reported concern for the safety of an infant. Officers evaluated the parents and infant and determined there was no immediate or imminent danger. CPS will conduct a follow up. No further police action recommended. Report #12-0302-0004
Child Protective Services contacted the Brisbane Police Department regarding a physical altercation involving a parent and their two teenage children. Police were able to determine that the parent put his hands around one child?s neck similar to a choke hold and slapped and pulled the hair of the other child. The child left the residence and no one sustained serious injury. This case has been forwarded to CPS. Report #12-0302-0005.
Weapons on School Grounds
Officers responded to the middle school on the report of a student who brandished a pocket knife. No one was hurt and the student stated he used it as a scare tactic and never intended to use it. This case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Court for review. Report #12-0307-0004.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. The reporting party stated a window in his vehicle had been smashed and a briefcase, laptop computer, passport and two checkbooks were taken. There is no suspect information and this case has been suspended pending any further leads of suspect information. Report #12-0302-0006.
Officers responded to a report of a possibly suicide. Upon arrival Officers found the subject deceased at the scene and confirmed death by suicide. San Mateo County Coroners Office also responded and conducted an investigation. This case in ongoing. Report #12-0303-0001.
Reporting party stated while they were out of town, between 2/26 and 3/3 an unknown suspect(s) entered their home and took jewelry, credit cards and cash. Officers found the rear door had been pried open. It was also revealed that the victims had family members watching the home while they were out of town. The officer has exhausted all leads. The case is suspended pending further evidence. Report 12-0307-0002.
The reporting party advised that an unknown suspect rear ended him while he was stopped waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. The suspect fled the scene without providing information to the reporting party. The unknown vehicle caused minor damage to the rear end of the reporting party?s vehicle. This case has been suspended pending further suspect information. Report #12-0306-0001.
Officers were dispatched to South San Francisco Kaiser Medical Center on the report of a cold battery that occurred on Quarry Rd. The mandated reporter stated the subject had been assaulted by a friend from the past. The subject was uncooperative and stated he and his friend were just ?goofing off?.
