Report for February 1, 2012 - February 28, 2012
An officer towed a 2006 Gold Chevy Impala due to the vehicle being parked in such a way as to create a traffic hazard. The vehicle was clear and valid with the registered owner out of Sacramento. An attempt to contact and neighborhood check was conducted but the owner could not be found. Case closed. Report # 12-0224-0002.
An officer towed a 1995 black Nissan Altima due to the vehicle having been parked on a public roadway in excess of 72 hours. Case closed. Report # 12-0228-0002.
The reporting party advised that between 02/02/12 and 02/03/12, an unknown subject dumped approximately 20 bags of fluorescent light bulbs. The items dumped had no identifying information in developing a person responsible for the dumping. This case has been closed pending further leads. Report #12-0203-0001.
Reporting party stated an unknown suspect had taken a light pole that had been knocked down during a collision. The reporting party stated it is not known if a city employee picked up the pole or if the pole was taken without permission. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0229-0002.
An officer towed a 1993 Maroon Ford Ranger pick up due to the vehicle having been parked on the public roadway excess of 72 hours. Case closed. Report # 12-0207-0001.
Officers responded to a collision and contacted one of the drivers who became extremely agitated and aggressive to police. It was determined that the subject was a danger to himself and others. The subject was transported to the hospital and placed on a 72 hour hold. Case closed. Report #12-0228-0001.
Possession Controlled Substance
Officers assisted San Francisco Police in the service of a search warrant and items listed in search warrant were taken by SFPD. While searching, illegal drugs were found in the residence. Drugs were taken by Brisbane officers and a case taken to be forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for prosecution. Report 12-0228-0003.
Officers responded to a report of a husband and wife who became involved in a physical altercation. A subsequent investigation resulted in one of the parties being arrested for domestic battery. The subject was taken into custody and booked into the San Mateo County Jail. Report #12-0201-0001.
Reporting party advised that he was the victim of identity theft. The suspect used the victim?s personal information to open an account in which the victim?s social security checks would be directly deposited into. The account was opened by the suspect at a bank branch in Dublin CA. This case has been forwarded to Dublin Police for investigation. Report 12-0227-0002.
The reporting party advised the suspect made threats to ?smash your face in with my fist? and ?I will kill your dogs?. An attempt was made to speak with the suspect who denied making any threats. The suspect became agitated and no longer wanted to talk to the officers. This case has been forwarded to the District Attorney?s Office for prosecution. Report 12-0227-003.
The reporting party advised that a parked vehicle had its window smashed. The Officer contacted the registered owner who stated he had parked his vehicle in the lot on 1/14/12. It is unknown exactly when the window was smashed. Nothing had been taken from the vehicle and the estimated cost of the damage is $245.00. This case has been suspended due to lack of suspect information. Report #12-0206-0001.
The reporting party advised sometime between 2/24/12 and 2/25/12 and unknown suspect removed a metal screen from a window that opened to the crawlspace. It was determined by the reporting party that nothing had been taken and no one entered the property. This case has been suspended due to lack of evidence. Report 12-0225-0001.
The reporting party stated her business credit card had been used without permission to make an online purchase from walmart.com for $309.46. The package had been delivered to an unknown address in Milpitas. Walmart.com would not supply any further information without a police report faxed to them. The credit card was canceled and the financial institution took responsibility for the fraudulent charge. The case was faxed to walmart.com in an attempt to gather further information. Case in ongoing. Report # 12-0224-0001.
Reporting party advised that a flat screen television had been taken without permission. The suspects were identified and contacted. In an agreement made, the suspect stated the TV would be returned. Since this case was taken, the TV has not yet been returned and this case will be forwarded to the District Attorney?s Officer for prosecution. Report # 12-0222-0001.
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop, during the contact the officer observed objective signs of the driver under the influence of alcohol. The driver did not pass a field sobriety test and was arrested and booked into jail. This case has been forwarded to the district attorney?s office for prosecution. Report #12-0213-0001.
Reporting party advised that sometime during the afternoon, unknown suspect(s) keyed five different vehicles that were parked on the road. All registered owners were contacted. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information. Report #12-0214-0001
Officers responded to a vehicle that collided with two parked vehicles. When officers arrived they located the driver. The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to First Chance. Report #12-0217-0001.
Reporting party advised that between 2/20/12 and 2/21/12 unknown suspect(s) took a small statue and a plant from the lobby of the hotel. The total loss is $189.95. Case suspended due to lack of suspect information and leads. Report # 12-0221-0001.
An officer responded to the area of Mission Blue and Guadalupe. The reporting party advised they had found an expensive piece of luggage that was left on the side of the roadway. The bag contained numerous belongings and cash. Upon investigation the officer was able to obtain contact info for the owner. It was determined that no crime had been committed and the bag was left on top of the car as it departed. The bag was returned to the owner. Case closed. Report #12-0221-0004.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle with three subjects detained. The vehicle was later found to be a stolen vehicle, see above incident. Upon further investigation it was revealed one of the passengers had an outstanding no bail warrant for drug related offenses. The subject was taken into custody and transported the county jail. Case closed. Report #12-0212-0002.
While on routine patrol, and officer located a dog that was running around without a leash in a public area. The owner was also no where to be found. The owner was subsequently located and cited for not having his canine on a leash. This canine owner was given a prior warning that a further violation of his dog not being on leash would result in a citation being issued. The owner was issued a citation. Report #12-0212-0003.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. After contacting all the subjects in the vehicle, it was discovered that one of the passengers had two outstanding warrants out of San Mateo County, totaling $10,000.00. The subject was taken into custody and booked into jail. Report #12-0211-0001.
Stolen Vehicle/ Hit and Run
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle with three subjects detained. During the investigation it was revealed the vehicle had been stolen of out Burlingame and the driver had been involved in a hit and run on Gladys. The driver of the stolen vehicle was positively identified and was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. One of the passengers was also taken into custody for a warrant arrest, see below. The third passenger was released at the scene. The vehicle was removed from the stolen vehicle system. Case closed. Report # 12-0212-0001.
The reporting party advised that between 02/04/2012 and 02/05/2012, an unknown subject caused damage to the front windshield of his or her vehicle. The damage caused spider cracking from one end of the windshield to the other end. The estimated cost of the damage is $135.00. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #12-0205-0001.
During a requested passing check of a property which was recently foreclosed by the lender, the previous owner was found on the property with out proper authorization by the bank representative. The owner was cited for trespassing. This case has been forwarded to the district attorney?s office for prosecution. Report #12-0210-0005.
Officers conducted a pre-planned probation search. The subject in question was to relinquish all his guns per a mandated judge issued court order, and had not complied. Officers responded to the home of the subject and made contact with the subject. Officers conducted a search and confiscated three handguns and one long rifle. Report #12-0210-0001.
The reporting party advised that between 06/23/2011 and 06/24/2011, an unknown subject entered his/her vehicle and removed several items. At the original time of the petty theft, his/her Fastrak transponder was taken. She is requesting a report now du to being charged for the value of the transponder. This case is being taken for information only. Report #12-0209-0002.
An officer conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle that was suspected of driving around the area to retrieve recyclables. During the traffic contact, it was determined that one of the occupants of the vehicle and an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Foster City in the amount of $7,500.00. The subject was taken into custody and booked into jail. Report #12-0209-0001.
