Report for October 2, 2009 - October 30, 2009
Officers responded to a report of a damaged street sign in the roadway. Subsequent investigation revealed the sign had been struck by a vehicle which had fled the scene. Debris left behind indicates that the vehicle involved in the collision was a Volkswagon. This report has been suspended pending further leads or suspect information. Report #09-1003-003.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious subject in the area. Officers contacted the subject and subsequently determined that he was a danger to himself. The subject was transported to the hospital for psychiatric evaluation. Report #09-1002-001.
Officers and fire personnel were dispatched to a report of an elderly male subject found deceased inside his residence. The subject had been under the care of his doctor and it was determined that the subject had passed away from natural causes. The coroner released the deceased to the family. Report #09-1003-002.
The reporting party advised that in the past three weeks, an unknown subject has used a yellow marker type felt pen to write graffiti on fifteen of their trucks. The marker used to graffiti the trucks was not permanent but is time consuming to remove. The estimated damages are $9.00. This case has been suspended pending further leads. Report #09-1028-001.
Driving Under the Influence
An officer stopped a driver for vehicle code violations. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver had been driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and transported to First Chance. Case closed. Report #09-1024-002.
The reporting party advised that on 10/23/09 her parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle, causing moderate damage to the left side of her vehicle. The other vehicle fled the scene without leaving notification. This case is on-going. Report #09-1024-001.

A records check of the driver revealed that he had a warrant from Colma PD for $5,000.00 for reckless driving and a warrant from San Francisco PD for $295.00 for traffic violations. Possession of Stolen Property
An officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of stolen property, in possession of marijuana and had a suspended license. He was arrested and transported to county jail. Case closed. Report #09-1023-001.

The reporting party advised that on 10/17/09 at 1730 hours, his juvenile daughter left their residence to attend a party in San Francisco against his wishes. On 10/18/09 she returned home. She was removed from MUPS. As she is currently on probation with stipulations of house arrest, a copy of this report was forwarded to the San Mateo Juvenile Probation office for review.
