Under the Influence of Controlled Substance
An officer stopped a driver for a vehicle code violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of a controlled substance, in possession of marijuana, in possession of paraphernalia and under the influence of a controlled substance. Suicide
Officers responded to an assist request by the California Highway Patrol on a report of shots fired on the freeway. A vehicle was found parked on the shoulder of the roadway with a deceased male subject lying on the ground next to it. The male subject had sustained a single fatal gun shot wound to the head. A subsequent homicide investigation revealed the death was a suicide. Case closed. Report #08-0628-001.

The reporting party advised that on 06/24/08 at approximately 1356 hours, her brother, who is clinically diagnosed with several psychological illnesses, became violent and struck her in the face several times. Officers responded to the scene and safely took the male subject into custody on 72 hour psychiatric hold. The subject was then transported to San Mateo County General Hospital for psychiatric evaluation. This case has been forwarded to the District Attorney?s office for review. Case closed. An officer stopped a driver for vehicle code violations. A records check revealed that the driver was on parole. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and alcohol, both violations of his parole. The subject?s parole officer requested the subject be booked into the San Mateo County under a CDC Parole Hold. The subject was arrested and booked into the county jail. Case closed.
