Report for June 1, 2013 - June 30, 2013
The reporting party notified police that sometime between 5/30-6/1, her passenger van was damaged and one of her trees were pruned without her permission. It is believed a landscaping crew hired by the city maybe responsible for the damages. It is believed the damages were unintentionally. A case was taken for information purposes only. The victim reported to police that sometime between 0400-1000 hours, unknown suspect(s) cut a perimeter fence behind the property. Upon entering the property, the suspect(s) unlocked eight vehicles on the lot. At this time, it is believed nothing was taken. Report taken and suspended pending further suspect information. The reporting party informed police that she was in a heated argument with her boyfriend. Officers determined that it was a verbal argument only although some items were thrown around. There were no injuries to any of the involved parties. Report # 13-0630-0001.
The victim reported to police that her husband stabbed her with keys numerous times on the knees and legs. The husband also hit her head against the wall. Officers are familiar with this couple. The victim was transported to the hospital. Officers went to locate the suspect and arrested him. The suspect was booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 13-0630-0002
Poss. of Controlled Substance
Officers were dispatched regarding a patron refusing to leave and showing off a bag of suspected cocaine. Upon arrival, the patrons identified the subject to the officers who contacted him. When officers asked him to show what he had, they saw a bag of suspected cocaine. The subject was arrested. The suspected cocaine tested positive. The subject was booked at the San Mateo County Jail. The reporting party informed police of a stripped vehicle parked in the area for the past 4 days. Officers responded and saw the interior was stripped as well as the tires. A registration check of the vehicle showed it was reported stolen out of San Francisco. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was informed. Report # 13-0624-0001.
Victim reports that sometime between 6/22-6/24, unknown suspect(s) siphoned approximately $200.00 worth of fuel from two vehicles. A review of the surveillance videos did not show a possible suspect. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0625-0001.
Assault w/Great Bodily Injury
The victim reported to police he was struck by the suspect after an argument. The victim had visible abrasions to both knees which were bleeding. He also complained of pain to his head area. Paramedics examined him and recommended he go to the hospital based on his head injury. The suspect was located and claimed self defense. The suspect was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 13-0625-0002
The victim reported to police that sometime between 1800-1930 hours, unknown suspect(s) smashed the passenger side window of the her vehicle. The suspect(s) proceeded to take an overnight bag that contained miscellaneous clothing and makeup valued at $500. Investigation ongoing. Report # 13-0626-0001.
Furnishing alcohol to a minor
Officers from Brisbane were working as part of an Alcohol Beverage Control operation targeting businesses selling alcohol to minors. An underage decoy was sent into a local business to buy alcohol. The clerk sold alcohol to the decoy. The clerk and the establishment were issued a criminal citation for the violation. Report #13-0623-0003.
Grand Theft/Vandalism-Property Damage
The victim reported to police that a known suspect was seen taking his boat to an area outside of the marina and drilling holes into the boat in an attempt to sink it. The victim?s tools and battery are also missing. Officers made attempts to contact the suspect and arrest him, but he was not located. A report was taken and officers will continue their attempts to locate and arrest the suspect. Report # 13-023-0004.
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Monterey St. on welfare check. The reporting party said she had not heard from her friend for at least a week. Officers checked the residence and believed the subject was inside the house. With the assistance of the fire department, officers made their way inside and located the subject deceased. There were no indications of criminal activity and it appeared to have been natural causes. The coroner responded and took possession of the body. Report # 13-0623-0001.
An officer was conducting a patrol check in the area when he noticed damage to the lawn of three businesses. It appeared someone had intentionally driven their vehicle onto the lawns of the businesses causing damage. Per the business owner, the cost to repair the damage is minimal, which is estimated to be less than $50. Case suspended pending further leads. Report # 13-0623-0002.
Unknown suspect(s) fraudulently used the victim?s personal information in an attempt to open a credit card account. It is unknown how the victim?s information was compromised. The application was denied and the victim accrued no loss. Report#13-0622-0002
The victim reported to police that sometime between 0130-1101 hours, an unknown driver hit his parked vehicle. Upon closer inspection, it appears the collision did not occur as stated by the victim. An informational report was taken. Report # 13-0622-0001.
Officers received a complaint of a subject dumping construction debris in the area. Officer located 5 garbage bags filled with debris. A witness provided a license plate for a possible suspect vehicle. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing. Report # 13-0621-0001.
Officers were dispatched to a report a vehicle accident where a vehicle pinned a juvenile to a tree. The juvenile had complaint of pain and minor bruising. The officer determined the parking brake was not properly set by the responsible driver. Report # 13-0621-0002.
An officer contacted a subject whom he knows from prior contacts. The officer also knew the subject had two warrants for her arrest. The officer confirmed the warrants and arrested the subject. The subject was booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 13-0620-0001.
An officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. The driver was contacted and determined to be unlicensed. The driver had no proof of identification. The driver was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail for being unlicensed and for further identification. Report # 13-0619-0001.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 6/17-6/18, unknown suspect(s) attempted to steal 100 feet of copper cable from a business. The copper was located just outside of the property. Report # 13-0618-0002.
An unknown subject located $7 and turned the money to Brisbane City Hall. The money was then turned over to the police department where is being kept as found property. Report # 13-0617-0002.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 6/17-6/18, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a building and located keys to the company vehicle parked on the property. The suspect(s) then took $100,000 worth of gardening/construction equipment. Report taken and investigation ongoing. Report # 13-0618-0001.
An officer was flagged down regarding a disturbance. During the contact, a records check was conducted on one of the individuals. The subject was found to be on probation and also had a no bail warrant. The subject was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. Report # 13-0617-0001.
The property owner notified police of an abandoned motorcycle on his property. A registration check of the motorcycle showed it was stolen out of San Francisco. Officers responded and recovered the motorcycle. The owner was notified. There is no suspect information. Report # 13-0616-0001.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 1300-2010 hours, an unknown suspect struck his parked vehicle and fled. The suspect did not provide his/her information to the victim as required. The victim reported to police her boyfriend repeatedly punched her on the side of the head and kicked her several times. The victim suffered minor injuries during the altercation. The victim reported to police that her husband hit her in the head with a cellular telephone which caused her to bleed. The husband also ransacked the home while their children were present. An officer contacted a second subject who was drinking alcohol near the library. This is in violation of a city ordinance. The officer cited the subject for the violation. Report # 13-0610-0003.
The drive reported to police that she lost control of her vehicle while driving in the area. The vehicle?s steering was unresponsive which caused her to strike the center median. The median did not sustain any damage, but the driver?s vehicle had major damage. An informational report was taken. Report # 13-0611-0001.
The victim reported to police that sometime between 6/4-6/5, unknown suspect(s) smashed the right rear passenger side window of her vehicle. The suspect(s) entered the vehicle and removed a CD player from the dash. The estimated loss of the stereo and cost to repair the window is estimated to be approximately $400. An officer contacted a subject who was drinking alcohol near the library. This is in violation of a city ordinance. The officer cited the subject for the violation. Report # 13-0610-0002.
Neighbors reported to police that they heard yelling and door slamming nearby. When officers responded they located the house and determined that a husband and wife had been arguing. Relatives that witnessed the incident as well as the involved parties confirmed it was merely a loud argument and no physical confrontation occurred. The involved parties were admonished. The reporting party told police that one of the license plates from their cargo trailer was missing. The reporting party believes the license plate was not secured properly and may have fallen off. A report was taken. Report # 13-0610-0001.

The victim reported to police that sometime between 0001 hours and 0700 hours, an unknown vehicle struck his parked car. The suspect did not provide his/her information as required by law. The suspect driver/vehicle was not located. A report was taken. Report # 13-0608-0001.
A Brisbane officer was working as part of the San Mateo County Gang Task Force and was in the city of East Palo Alto. The officer contacted a suspicious person who was on probation with a search and seizure clause. The officer searched the subject and found less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession. The officer also contacted the person?s probation officer who placed him on a hold for violating the terms of his probation. The subject was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail. The victim reported to police he received mail from a financial institution. When he opened it, he discovered there was a credit card in his name which he did not apply for. Someone used his personal information to open a line of credit. The bank is presently investigating the incident. An informational report was taken as the victim has not incurred any financial loss. Citizen reported that an unknown substance similar to spray paint was sprayed on to two parked vehicles. The substance was removed and the vehicle sustained no damage. An informational report was taken. Case#13-0606-0001
